The Director, Infrastructure Funding role leads funding processes to secure grants and external funding for capital projects for clients. Work is performed with little or no supervision. This role is self-directed and advances funding programs with little oversight from senior funding group leadership.

Responsibilities 

  • Utilizes advanced understanding of various state and federal funding sources and programs, including relationships with key members of state and federal funding agencies. 
  • Utilizes in-depth understanding the scope of client projects to identify and recommend the best strategy to ensure funding is secured. 
  • Leads completion process for applications and documentation to securing funding, based on application requirements. 
  • Leads funding team to complete tasks and assignments associated with the application and securing of infrastructure funding options.  
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. 

Mentorship  

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.  

Skills and Competencies 

  • Advanced insight to infrastructure projects and key components of large infrastructure projects 
  • Expertise in strategic planning processes 
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state funding programs. 
  • Knowledge of municipal finance principles and practices. 
  • Ability to conduct competitor analysis and provide strategic market insights. 
  • Strong understanding of municipal finance, economics, and federal and state funding programs. 

Experience 

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of Strategic Funding or related experience. 

Education 

  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business management, or related field or equivalent experience is required.

 

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.  These ranges may be modified in the future.  

Location A: $117,000 - $159,000
Location B: $128,000 - $175,000
Location C: $140,000 - $191,000
