The Commercial Brand, Creative, and Customer Marketing team is seeking a Director of Integrated Creative to help shape the ideas, storytelling, and creative experiences that power Microsoft’s commercial marketing. This role develops compelling creative concepts and campaign expressions across global marketing initiatives, from high-visibility brand moments to social-first and creator-led storytelling, helping Microsoft connect with audiences in relevant, differentiated ways. 


This leader brings creative instincts, cultural awareness, and modern marketing experience across integrated campaigns, social, digital, and emerging content formats. They understand how to translate business priorities, audience needs, and technology stories into clear, engaging creative work. 


Blending conceptual thinking with executional leadership, this role partners closely with strategy, marketing, production, and agency teams to develop ideas that are grounded in insight and built to perform across channels and audiences.

Responsibilities
 
  • Lead creative development and concepting for integrated marketing campaigns and social- and creator-adjacent work. 
  • Develop campaign ideas, creative platforms, and storytelling approaches that can scale across channels and formats. 
  • Translate audience insights, business priorities, and cultural trends into compelling creative solutions. 
  • Partner with creative strategy, brand, social, creator, and product marketing teams to deliver cohesive campaign experiences. 
  • Contribute to campaign architecture and help define creative approaches that support business objectives. 
  • Provide creative direction and feedback throughout concept development and execution. 
  • Manage and mentor a team of creatives, including writers and art directors. 
  • Partner with internal production teams and external agencies to ensure work is delivered with high creative standards. 
  • Support agency relationships and contribute to the development and delivery of integrated campaign work. 
  • Champion innovative creative approaches, including the use of AI-enabled tools and workflows.

Qualifications
 

Required/minimum qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications


  • Master's Degree AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in creative leadership, integrated marketing, advertising, or related creative disciplines. 
  • Experience developing integrated campaign concepts and creative programs. 
  • Experience leading work across multiple channels, including digital, social, and brand marketing. 
  • Experience working with agencies and external creative partners. 
  • Experience  translating complex products, services, or technologies into clear and engaging stories. 
  • Experience leveraging AI and modern creative tools. 
  • The ability to provide a portfolio of relevant work for review


Integrated Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
