Our Story

Since 2023, our mission has been clear: to be the north star of patient equity.

Every day, we strive to bridge the gaps in healthcare access and outcomes to ensure that every patient, regardless of background or circumstance, receives the care they deserve. As a member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working alongside passionate individuals who share your dedication to creating best-in-class, patient-centric products in healthcare. Together, we're revolutionizing the way people understand their health and working with the world's top researchers to accelerate innovation.

About Novellia

Novellia is the first and only company that lets anyone in the U.S. gain access to nearly a decade of their health data in under 30 seconds — 100% free. All your health records, across every doctor, in one place, always up to date.

We are the only patient-powered real-world data platform delivering comprehensive, patient-authorized longitudinal health insights to accelerate biopharma innovation. Unlike traditional RWD providers who deliver fragmented institutional data, we empower patients to access 20+ years of their health records, then transform these complete health journeys into fit-for-purpose datasets for evidence generation, regulatory submissions, and market access. We are growing 5x year over year, have raised close to $30M in funding, and are backed by tier-1 investors including Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, and Bling Capital.

Working with the world's top researchers, we turn health insights into life-changing action for millions of people around the world.

The Role

We're hiring a Director, Life Sciences Partnerships — a highly experienced enterprise closer who owns some of the most important deals Novellia will ever sign.

You will build and close your own deals. That means identifying the right buyers at the world's largest pharma and biotech companies, earning your way into the room, running consultative discovery with ED and VP-level RWE, Medical Affairs, and outcomes research leaders, and converting those conversations into signed contracts. The accounts you work will skew toward large and mid-sized biopharma companies. You'll have top-of-funnel sales (SDR) and marketing support for targeted outreach and prospecting on your accounts, but you own the strategy, the relationships, and the close.

Novellia sells real-world patient data and evidence generation to pharma and biotech. Our patients share longitudinal health data — medical records, labs, imaging, PROs, and more — giving researchers a depth of clinical insight that incumbent data solutions simply cannot match. Our deals range from $150K to well over $1M, with enterprise engagements reaching into the multi-millions at maturity. The science matters here: you will need to understand what we're selling well enough to lead a credible conversation with a medical director or head of outcomes research — not only being able to deliver a crisp and compelling pitch, but to go deep on the science, the data, and be a true consultative partner to potential new clients.

If that's the room you're built for, read on.

What You’ll Own

  • Your own pipeline. You identify targets, earn the introduction, and run the process start to finish. SDR support is available for targeted outreach on your accounts — but you drive the strategy.

  • Full deal ownership from first outreach through signed contract — discovery, proposal, negotiation, close.

  • Consultative selling at the ED, VP, and C-suite level across RWE, Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Commercial functions. You are the expert in the room, not just the sales rep.

  • Deal strategy and partnership with Client Solutions on proposal scoping, scientific narrative, and pricing.

  • While you are an IC, you’ll be a player-coach presence on the team: you set the standard for deal craft and lend your pattern recognition to junior sellers when they're stuck.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in life sciences data, RWE, CRO, or health tech — selling complex, multi-stakeholder deals to pharma or biotech.

  • A track record of sourcing and closing. You've built your own pipeline, not managed someone else's, and you have the closed revenue to show for it.

  • Consultative fluency in science. You don't need a PhD, but you need to be able to hold a credible conversation with a head of Medical Affairs or VP of RWE about evidence generation, study design, and data quality — and help them think through what they actually need.

  • Deep relationships or credibility in pharma/biotech RWE, Medical Affairs, or outcomes research. You know how these teams think and how they buy.

  • Comfort operating without a large support structure. We're lean. You'll have ops and data support and Client Solutions, but you will need to run your own game. You can map an account strategy, have excellent deck skills, can develop strong proposals in collaboration with Client Solutions, and understand how to navigate complex pricing negotiations with procurement.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal subject cross-functional experts (Client Solutions leads, data scientists, growth experts, data engineers) to scope out data solutions that fulfill your customers’ needs.

  • High commercial instinct: you diagnose what's blocking a deal, you know who has power, and you know how to move things.

Benefits & Perks
  • $160,000-190,000 base salary

  • Uncapped commission tied to closed revenue

  • Equity in Novellia

  • A clear path: fast career and compensation progression with results

  • A product that matters and a mission that's real

  • The autonomy to operate like an owner

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k)

  • Flexible time off

  • Wellness stipend

  • Up to 12 weeks of parental leave

A NOTE ON WHO WE ARE

Novellia is a small, serious (but fun) team. We've closed deals with some of the largest names in pharma, and have a strong pipeline and product roadmap that’s already delivering breakthrough research posters and publications. We're looking for someone who knows how to get into a room that isn't easy to get into, run a real scientific conversation, and close.

If you're at a large org and feel like your deal potential is being capped — by territory, by bureaucracy, by comp structures that don't reward the best closers — we’d love to hear from you.

Novellia is committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the patients we serve.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
