The Director, Product Marketing - B2B Retail is responsible for leading the go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and commercial launch execution for a defined portfolio (Dealer.com, CAMP) of Cox Automotive retail software products and solutions. This role serves as the primary marketing partner for assigned product and business unit leaders, translating complex product capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with automotive dealers, lenders, and enterprise customers.
This is a commercially minded, cross-functional leadership role that sits at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing. The Director is expected to deeply understand the customer - their workflows, pain points, and buying behavior - and to use that understanding to drive differentiated positioning, effective sales enablement, and measurable pipeline impact.
As AI continues to reshape automotive retail and the tools that support it, this leader is expected to fluently incorporate AI-powered capabilities into their marketing approach - from AI-informed market research and customer insights to AI-enabled content creation, campaign personalization, and sales enablement at scale.
What You'll Do
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for an assigned product portfolio, including positioning, messaging, audience segmentation, and competitive differentiation
  • Develop deep expertise in assigned product area(s), customer segments, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and content
  • Lead the development of integrated launch plans for new products, features, and capabilities - coordinating across product, sales, marketing operations, and communications
  • Create and maintain a library of high-quality sales enablement materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, battle cards, case studies, and ROI tools that equip sales to have effective conversations with dealers and enterprise customers
  • Partner with the Sales Business Office and Enterprise Sales teams to ensure marketing content and tools are embedded in seller workflows and training programs
  • Develop customer-facing messaging and content across the full buyer journey - from awareness through retention - in collaboration with marketing operations channel teams
  • Establish and maintain personas, customer journey maps, and segmentation frameworks that guide campaign and content decisions
  • Define and track KPIs that measure the effectiveness of product marketing activity against pipeline, retention, and market awareness goals
  • Actively apply AI tools to accelerate content creation, research, personalization, and competitive intelligence workflows
  • Identify opportunities to use AI-powered product capabilities as differentiating proof points in marketing and sales narratives
  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of product marketing managers and specialists
  • Manage external agency or freelance relationships as needed to scale content production
  • Represent the marketing perspective in cross-functional product planning, roadmap reviews, and GTM readiness processes
