About Brilliant

We are a female-founded, bootstrapped and profitable company on a mission to provide the best corporate gifting experience in the world! From the curation and production of memorable branded merchandise to the distribution of custom products, our team works together to bring brands to life. Think: newsworthy press kits, welcome gifts for new hires, merch sets to promote a product launch, or simply giveaways that people love.

We help companies create personalized experiences—campaigns, new-hire kits, storefronts, event swag—through a unified tech platform, global fulfillment (180+ countries, 6 warehouses), and hands-on creative collaboration brilliantmade.com.

Why This Role Matters

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a visionary Director of Product to lead our product management and UX design team—reporting to our SVP of Client Experience. This is a high-impact role shaping the future of both our client-facing platform, integrations with third party software applications, and the internal tools that power our sales, project, fulfillment, payment, and warehouse workflows.

The Director of Product will own and drive the strategic platform roadmap, balancing near-term delivery with long-term vision. You will lead a team of product managers and designers to identify opportunities, define priorities, and execute against them. Success in this role means scaling our product organization while delivering tools and experiences that delight customers, empower internal teams, and position the company for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our software platform (client-facing software, integrations, and internal tools).
  • Translate company goals into actionable product initiatives that drive growth, efficiency, and client value.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define KPIs and success metrics for both individual projects and the team overall.
  • Balance the needs of two critical user groups - external clients and internal operators to ensure the product roadmap serves both revenue growth and operational scalability.

Team Management & Growth

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers and UX designers.
  • Take our product processes to the next level - including discovery, validation, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee execution of roadmap initiatives, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, sales, and account management.
  • Build data-driven decision making into all phases of product development.
  • Champion excellent UX and consistent product quality.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to drive execution, establish development best practices, and ensure tight coordination on sprint timing and delivery timelines.

Market & User Research

  • Lead user and market research efforts to inform strategy and identify unmet needs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving customer expectations.
  • Translate insights into differentiated product experiences.

Organizational Influence & Leadership

  • Act as a product evangelist across the company, aligning stakeholders around product strategy.
  • Represent the product team in strategic planning and cross-functional leadership forums.
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years leading teams in high growth or startup environments.
  • Proven experience scaling product organizations in a high-growth environment (early to late-stage funding or through/after a successful exit).
  • Strong track record of owning strategic roadmaps across both client-facing platforms and internal tools/workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Deeply data-driven with strong analytical skills; experience building KPIs and leveraging analytics for decision-making.
  • Skilled in leading user research, usability testing, and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with integrations, workflow automation, or fulfillment/logistics (WMS, ERP) platforms is a plus.
  • Experience integrating 3rd party software systems like CRMs (Salesforce/Hubspot, CSMs (Vitally / Gainsight), project management tools (Wrike/Asana), and shared inbox ticketing systems (Zendesk/Front) into a proprietary software stack.
  • Experience in hybrid businesses where physical fulfillment and operational logistics are deeply tied to the software strategy. Brilliant has a software platform, but is not a SAAS company, and that nuance is important and key to this role’s success.
Compensation:

$160k - $180k annual base salary
