Director, Services — Driving Transformation in Insurance Technology

Location: Remote United States or Canada

Role Overview

At Majesco, transformation isn’t theory — it’s execution. As Director, Services, you will lead the execution of complex, multi-million-dollar SaaS programs that redefine how insurance technology is delivered and sustained. This is a player/coach leadership role for a senior delivery leader who can directly own major client outcomes while also building and leading a high-performing delivery organization.

You will oversee active implementations from kickoff through go-live and production stability, with accountability for timeline, margin, quality, production readiness, and client confidence. In addition to leading a portfolio, you will personally own at least one major customer engagement, with clear financial responsibility and an expected utilization target, while coaching other program leaders to deliver with the same level of rigor.

This role is part of the services leadership group of this Business Unit and will work closely with Development Leads, Architects, Product Owners, QA, PMO, Sales, and Client Partners to strengthen execution, modernize delivery practices, and help migrate the business toward the next generation of Majesco’s product and operating model. Occasional international travel between Canada and the United States is expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of a portfolio of active implementations, ensuring commitments on timeline, scope, quality, margin, and go-live readiness are met.
  • Serve in a player/coach capacity by directly owning at least one major customer implementation while managing and coaching other project leaders.
  • Manage other Project Managers and Analysts, building a strong leadership bench with clear accountability, operating discipline, and execution focus.
  • Lead from the front — staying deeply engaged in plans, estimates, risks, dependencies, financials, and stakeholder alignment, intervening early when outcomes drift.
  • Own financial governance across implementations, including forecasting, margin management, staffing alignment, utilization, and delivery transparency.
  • Collaborate as part of the services leadership team with Development Leads, Architects, Product Owners, and QA to drive coordinated execution across delivery, product, and engineering.
  • Drive AI adoption across the implementation lifecycle, including planning, execution, status reporting, quality, knowledge reuse, and delivery acceleration.
  • Partner with the PMO to drive maturity in implementation delivery, including migration away from legacy delivery practices toward Majesco’s broader operating model, governance standards, templates, and tools.
  • Improve delivery consistency through stronger use of templates, standard operating mechanisms, governance, and scalable implementation processes.
  • Accelerate Agile adoption across implementations, driving practical use of iterative planning, prioritization, transparency, and execution discipline.
  • Work directly with executive leadership on the strategy and actions required to migrate the business to the next generation of Majesco’s product and implementation approach.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Client Partner teams to examine client footprint, identify expansion opportunities, strengthen delivery positioning, and improve continuity from sales through implementation and ongoing account growth.
  • Partner directly with client executives and steering committees to align delivery with business strategy and measurable value realization.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6–12 months, success in this role means:

  • Active implementations are delivering more consistently against committed timelines, quality targets, go-live readiness, and margin expectations.
  • Project Managers and Business Associates are operating with stronger ownership, better predictability, and improved execution discipline.
  • Delivery teams are adopting more standardized templates, governance, and operating practices aligned to the larger Majesco model.
  • Agile ways of working are more consistently embedded across the implementation lifecycle.
  • AI-enabled delivery practices are improving speed, quality, visibility, and team productivity.
  • A clear strategy is in motion to transition toward the next generation of Majesco’s product and delivery model.

What You Bring

  • 10 plus years of senior leadership experience delivering enterprise software or SaaS solutions for insurance or financial services organizations.
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation programs across multi-disciplinary, multi-vendor teams.
  • Understanding of Life, Health, and Annuity insurance operations lifecycle from quoting and underwriting to policy administration, billing, claims, enrollment, or group benefits platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in a player/coach model, combining direct client ownership with team leadership and talent development.
  • Experience managing Project Managers and related delivery roles in a scaled implementation environment.
  • Strong command of delivery governance, risk management, financial control, and operating cadence.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery, Jira, NetSuite, modern delivery tooling, and practical application of AI in delivery execution.
  • Executive presence with the ability to operate effectively in both client boardrooms and day-to-day delivery forums.

Why Majesco

In this role, you will help shape how Majesco implementations operate today while building the delivery model needed for the next generation of our product and our business.
