VAST Data is looking to hire a Director of Strategic Alliances - AMD to join our growing team!
VAST Data is defining an entirely new category in enterprise infrastructure by building the world's first Operating System for AI.
For decades, organizations have relied on fragmented infrastructure stacks—separate systems for storage, databases, messaging, virtualization, and AI pipelines. VAST has fundamentally reimagined this model by unifying these capabilities into a single intelligent software platform purpose-built for the AI era.
As one of the fastest-growing enterprise software companies in the world, VAST partners with the industry's leading organizations to power next-generation AI factories, autonomous agents, large-scale model training, and modern data platforms.
Joining VAST means becoming part of a team that isn't just building another infrastructure product—we're creating a new category and defining the foundation upon which the future of AI will run.
If you're excited by transformational technology, solving problems that have never been solved before, and helping customers build the future, we want to hear from you.
The Role
Simply put - own and build VAST Data’s strategic go-to-market partnership with AMD. This person will be responsible for turning AMD into a meaningful field and technology partner for VAST, building alignment at the corporate level while activating AMD’s sales organization to identify and pursue joint opportunities.
There will be the opportunity to expand into additional strategic hardware partnerships over time.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the overall VAST–AMD relationship and joint go-to-market strategy.
- Build relationships across AMD executives, product teams, business units, alliances teams, and field sellers.
- Drive joint solution architectures, reference designs, enablement, and positioning with support from VAST technical teams.
- Educate AMD sellers on VAST and create a motion where AMD teams proactively identify opportunities for VAST.
- Connect VAST and AMD field teams, broker customer conversations, and uncover new pipeline.
- Coordinate internally across product, engineering, sales, and technical teams to drive the partnership agenda.
- Operate as both the corporate alliance lead and field activation lead while the partnership is being built.
- Strong alliances, channel, ecosystem, or strategic partnership experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships and drive an agenda across a large partner organization.
- Experience creating joint GTM motions rather than simply administering an existing alliance.
- Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, hardware, AI infrastructure, HPC, and data center environments.
- Enough technical fluency to understand CPUs, servers, networking, and infrastructure architectures without needing to be an engineer.
- Experience working with AMD is highly valuable but not required.
- Backgrounds spanning infrastructure vendors, OEMs, cloud providers, or technology ecosystem partnerships can all be relevant.
- High initiative and comfort building a partnership from an early stage.
