  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS management systems, including those based on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Develop and deliver occupational health, safety, and environmental training programs for employees, supervisors, and management teams.
  • Contribute to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including projects focused on energy reduction, waste minimization, environmental footprint management, and resource conservation.
  • Support environmental compliance and assessment activities related to air emissions, wastewater management, hazardous waste, and other environmental programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations in collaboration with senior consultants and ergonomic specialists.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to identify risks, evaluate controls, and develop practical recommendations for clients.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports, presentations, and other project deliverables, and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on occupational hygiene, safety, environmental, and sustainability projects across a variety of industries.
  • Stay current on emerging regulations, industry best practices, and EHS trends to support high-quality consulting services and client solutions.

Education/Qualifications

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS or related field of study
  • 2–3 years of experience in EHS or IH-related work (internships and co-ops count)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members
  • Willingness to travel for client-related projects
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and car and be able to drive for client-related projects
  • Must be able to travel by plane outside the region to support client work in other locations

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
