Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Electrical Cabin and Network System Design Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate) to join the team in Renton, Washington.
Boeing's factory in Renton, WA is the home of 737, the world's most popular jet. The site leads the industry as the most efficient airplane factory in the world. More than 14,500 commercial airplanes (707, 727, 737, and 757) or about 30 percent of the worldwide fleet flying today were built in Renton.

Position Overview:
This position will assist in defining and integrating airplane electrical systems across our commercial fleet. All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes.
Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport. This position will be assigned to work with Cabin Systems which includes interior lighting, passenger address systems, passenger connectivity, satellite connections, in-flight entertainment, and more.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Supervises supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Research specific technology for potential application to company business needs.
  • Participate in flight test evaluation of new systems.

Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Renton, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree.
  • Experience in electrical systems hardware and software design.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
  • Knowledge of FAA certification.
  • Experience with system design and integration during an airplane development program.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment.
  • Experience with Model Based Development tools.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range:
Entry-Level (Level 1): $79,000 - $107,000
Associate (Level 2): $98,000 - $133,000
