About the role

We are looking for an Email Marketing Growth Manager to help grow our reverse lookup products through structured experimentation in email marketing.

This role is focused on one core objective: maximizing the business impact of email as a growth channel.

You will be responsible for designing, prioritizing, and analyzing A/B tests across the email funnel — from pre-purchase conversion to post-purchase activation and retention. You will work closely with the Email Team and Growth Team to turn insights into experiments that improve performance.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how to use testing, messaging, user behavior analysis, and market research to increase conversion volume and improve retention.

If you have a strong CRO foundation and want to apply experimentation to email growth, retention, and lifecycle optimization, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the experimentation roadmap for email marketing growth

  • Run A/B tests across:

    • subject lines

    • preview text

    • email body copy

    • calls to action

    • content structure

    • offer presentation

    • lifecycle messaging

  • Develop and prioritize experiments across two key areas:

    • Pre-purchase experiments focused on maximizing conversion volume from email

    • Post-purchase experiments focused on improving user activation, retention, and re-engagement

  • Analyze email performance and user behavior to identify growth opportunities and friction points

  • Write clear testing hypotheses and propose strong copy variations for experiments

  • Partner with the Email Team on the implementation of tests and campaign changes

  • Measure experiment results, identify winners and losers, and define next steps

  • Do the daily reporting of the Email experiment in the growth Slack channel

  • Control the monetary impact of every experiment on the company top line

  • Maintain a clear backlog of email growth experiments and document learnings

  • Perform ongoing market and competitor research to generate new hypotheses and experiment ideas

  • Work with data and product stakeholders to ensure experiments are tied to measurable business outcomes

Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in email marketing

  • At least 2 years of experience in growth and A/B test execution

  • Strong hands-on experience with experimentation in email or lifecycle marketing

  • Ability to generate testing ideas that improve conversion, activation, and retention

  • Strong copy instincts for writing and refining:

    • subject lines

    • CTAs

    • email messaging

    • lifecycle content

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data

  • Experience with tools such as Mixpanel, Customer.io or similar platforms

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with email, growth, product, and analytics teams

  • Strong organization and clear communication

  • Fluent English

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
