This position requires independent development of full software stacks and an understanding of system protocols, data flows, and technology interactions. Success is measured by the ability to deliver production-ready technical solutions, apply sound engineering judgment to AI-assisted development, produce clear documentation, and contribute to technology strategy and innovation. The work impacts the organization by enabling advanced software systems that improve operational efficiency and support business goals.

WHAT'LL YOU DO

You'll help build intelligent automation solutions that support T-Mobile's critical Core and IP network services. Working at the intersection of software engineering, network automation, and AI, you'll develop and integrate software across IT and network systems to simplify operational workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability. Your work will help move intelligent automation from experimentation into real-world production environments.

  • Build software that powers the network. Develop and integrate microservices, APIs, and automation solutions supporting network provisioning, configuration, testing, monitoring, and issue resolution across Core and IP Services.
  • Build with AI, engineer with judgment. Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and problem-solving while applying strong software engineering fundamentals to review, validate, and take responsibility for generated code.
  • Deliver reliable, production-ready solutions. Develop, test, and validate software through established CI/CD processes, ensuring code quality and addressing issues related to your changes in collaboration with production support teams.
  • Advance intelligent operations. Contribute to AI-enabled workflows that detect issues, recommend solutions, and support automated actions with appropriate safeguards, validation, and human oversight.
  • Grow your technical expertise. Collaborate with experienced software, network, and AI engineers while developing skills that support future opportunities in senior engineering, architecture, and technical leadership.

OUR TEAM & CULTURE

We're a collaborative, engineering-driven team that brings together expertise in software development, network operations, and artificial intelligence. We encourage curiosity, experimentation, and new ideas while maintaining high standards for quality and reliability.

You'll work with engineers who openly share knowledge, challenge existing approaches, and support one another in solving complex technical problems. Because our automation supports critical network services, we balance innovation with thoughtful engineering, testing, and operational responsibility.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
