Engineering Manager, User Compliance

The User Compliance team sits at the critical intersection of Risk, Onboarding, and Stripe's diverse product teams. Our mission is to orchestrate the collection and verification of customer data, enabling us to manage financial, regulatory, and reputational risks across all of Stripe's offerings. • Work with Stripe leaders across the company to create and drive toward the vision of simple and consistent Risk & Compliance experience;
• Work with Product Managers to shape up the product roadmap and enable the experiences which helps solve user problems and keep them complaint;
• Drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, and work with cross functional dependencies across the company to meet the deliverables;
• Own the technical roadmap for the team and support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability
• Hire and develop the best of engineers in your team; Be a sponsor-coach for the team to learn and grow;
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team

• Have built and managed critical systems working with cross functional teams globally; Any experience in RIsk and compliance domain is a plus;

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with minimum 10 years of experience with software development
• 8-10 years of overall experience with 3+ years experience in leadership role with people management responsibilities as well;
• Built diverse teams to tackle challenging technical problems;
• Thrived in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
