About PatientIQ

PatientIQ is a fast-growing health tech company on a mission to improve patient outcomes. We partner with healthcare providers, medical device companies, and researchers to collect, analyze, and act on patient-reported outcomes data at scale — powering smarter clinical decisions and accelerating the future of value-based care.

Headquartered in Chicago and backed by top-tier venture capital and major health system investors, PatientIQ is building the largest platform for healthcare providers, industry partners, and researchers to collaborate on what matters most: helping patients get better.

The opportunity

The PatientIQ Enterprise Account Executive (EAE) – Data Solutions is responsible for owning commercial Data Solutions activity across PatientIQ's full portfolio of data products, including sponsored research, real-world evidence (RWE), and other data initiatives. This role serves a broad base of data buyers spanning medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, and other healthcare industry organizations.

The EAE will engage senior stakeholders across medical affairs, clinical research, R&D, HEOR, regulatory, and commercial teams at medical device, life science, and pharmaceutical organizations to position PatientIQ as a strategic partner for clinical evidence generation, real-world data capture, and outcomes-driven research. This includes supporting initiatives such as post-market surveillance, registry development, regulatory evidence generation, HEOR studies, and value-based care strategies.

Success in this role requires both domain expertise and an established network across the medical device, life science, and pharmaceutical landscape. The ideal candidate will leverage existing executive relationships to generate immediate opportunities while building long-term, trust-based partnerships across a diverse book of data buyer accounts.

This individual will lead complex, multi-threaded sales cycles, translating clinical and business needs into tailored solutions powered by PatientIQ’s ResearchPRO and DataPRO platforms. They will operate cross-functionally with internal clinical, product, and leadership teams to deliver high-impact solutions aligned to customer priorities.

This is a highly strategic, consultative sales role suited for a proven healthcare data and life sciences commercial leader who can bridge clinical insight, data strategy, and commercial execution to drive meaningful outcomes for customers and patients.

What you'll do
  • Build, manage, and convert a pipeline of Data Solutions opportunities across medical device, life science, pharmaceutical, and healthcare data buyers — driving new logo acquisition while expanding existing strategic accounts
  • Leverage an existing network of device, life science, and pharma relationships to accelerate pipeline generation and time to first deal
  • Develop and expand executive-level relationships across medical affairs, clinical research, R&D, commercial, and digital innovation teams, positioning PatientIQ as a strategic partner for clinical research execution, registry development, and real-world data generation
  • Lead consultative sales engagements centered on RWE, outcomes data, and clinical differentiation, grounded in a strong understanding of how these organizations use real-world data and clinical evidence to support R&D, regulatory, and commercial strategies
  • Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles involving clinical, technical, legal, and procurement stakeholders
  • Translate customer clinical and business objectives into tailored solutions leveraging PatientIQ's ResearchPRO and DataPRO capabilities
  • Partner closely with internal clinical research, product, and data teams to support solution design and deal execution
  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness across clinical research trends, regulatory requirements (FDA, MDR, HEOR), RWE commercialization models, and the competitive data landscape
What success looks like

We believe clarity drives performance. Here's what the first 90 days look like in this role:

30 days - Deep product fluency across DataPRO RWE and ResearchPRO; has internalized PatientIQ's business model, go-to-market motion, and the learnings from prior data buyer deals in the segment; mapped their existing network against active and target accounts; completed at least 3 introductory conversations with warm contacts; has built strong working relationships with key internal partners across clinical, product, and data teams.

60 days - Running their own discovery calls independently; at least 2–3 qualified opportunities in HubSpot with clear next steps; has shadowed deal reviews and can articulate the DataPRO RWE & RPRO commercial model, pricing structure, and common objections without support; applying lessons from prior segment deals to sharpen their pitch and prioritize the right accounts.

90 days - First deal in active negotiation or closed; owns a named account list with documented outreach and engagement history; has delivered at least one data feasibility or DataPRO RWE, or RPRO pitch to a prospective buyer with minimal internal support; trusted partner to clinical, product, and data teammates on deal design and execution.
