The selected candidate will investigate and develop equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aviation product design and build requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Requires Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, and three (3) years of experience as an Equipment and Tool Engineer or a related position, as well as three years of experience in each of the following:
Telecommuting up to one day per week may be permitted.
Relocation:

- Participate in design reviews, collect design requirements, and create drawings and models to support build plans.
- Prepare specifications, purchase requests, and usage instructions for equipment and tooling.
- Support user training development.
- Perform design calculations on tools to size members, select materials, and make purchase decisions relevant to the statement of work.
- Create and interpret technical drawings of tools to communicate design specifications, dimensions, and tolerances in compliance with industry standards.

- Utilizing solid modeling software, including CATIA;
- Creating technical drawings of tools using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T);
- Complying with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards;
- Designing sheet metal parts using 3-D CAD tools such as ENOVIA;
- Reviewing and approving product engineering drawings and 3D CAD models;
- Evaluating Tool Order packages and analyzing statements of work for each order;
- Serving as signature authority for tooling and equipment structures.
