About the Role

PayZen is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative with a demonstrated track record of top performance, a passion for technology, and the drive to build an incredible sales career. Your primary responsibility will be to help turn prospects and leads into qualified opportunities by partnering with Marketing and Sales to create and execute on program and outbound campaigns.

This position requires heavy outbound calling, email sending, social media research, consultative selling skills, and tight collaboration with the Account Executives to generate new opportunities. The SDR will be expected to report on qualifications and call activity and stay thoroughly informed on PayZen’s platform and the Healthcare Fintech industry in general.

What You'll Do
  • Develop opportunities for the sales team from prospecting and marketing-generated leads

  • Quickly learn the PayZen product, effectively communicate the value proposition, and be able to react to objections and competitive questions

  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities

  • Develop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attack, including email and call scripts

  • Interact with prospects via telephone and email with a high attention to detail

  • Set qualified discovery calls for the appropriate AE, educating rep as necessary about the opportunity

  • Play a critical role in the growth of our organization by consistently achieving qualified opportunity quotas

  • Track all relevant qualification and lead management activity using Salesforce

What We Typically Look For
  • 2+ years sales experience in a fast-paced technology company

  • Experience using Salesforce.com or comparable CRM, Outreach.io, Zoominfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Strong understanding of lead development best practices

  • A track record of high achievement in current and previous roles hitting or exceeding quotas

  • A builder’s mentality and tendency to thrive in collaborative environments

  • A strong drive, work ethic, and results-driven operating style

  • Resourcefulness and a positive can-do attitude

  • Excitement about continuously improving your skills and impact

  • Experience using Outreach, Salesloft, or Salesforce High Velocity Sales/Sales Engagement is a strong plus

  • Experience in the Healthcare and/or Healthcare Finance industries is a strong plus
