Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a Experienced C-17 Retrofit Technical Specialist to join the C-17 Retrofit, Maintenance and Modifications team, in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Researches and analyzes engineering data to develop and draft Retrofit, Maintenance, and Modification instructions and disposition requirements for removed assemblies.
  • Defines configuration requirements and creates an installable modification package.
  • Identifies and defines the creation of kit assembly parts list.
  • Reviews engineering data packages to determine configuration requirements. Identifies required parts, materials and consumables.
  • Provides technical resolution for retrofit and modification related problems.
  • Validates engineering bill of materials and analyzes gaps.
  • Defines configuration requirements and creates an installable modification package.
  • Creates draft document delivery schedule in coordination with overall modification schedule.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years Military aircraft experience.
  • 3+ years reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics.
  • 3+ years working in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • 3+ years of interfacing directly with military or commercial customers.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • C-17 Aircraft Experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair.
  • Technical Document Writing Experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
  • Familiarization with Time Compliance Tech Orders (TCTO).

Summary Pay Range(level 3):$90,100 - $121,900
