Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Project Management Specialist to join the VC-25B Presidential Aircraft Recapitalization Program, in San Antonio, TX.
The Project Management Specialist will directly contribute to the success of the fielding, operations, and support of the VC-25B. In this role, the Project Management Specialist will provide project leadership to a multi-disciplined team driving proposal development, strategy, and transition to execution. They will partner with multiple stakeholders such as Business Development, Supplier Management, Contracts, Estimating & Pricing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance on proposal development activities. Position Responsibilities

- Leads development of the program architecture and top-level plans for a program.
- Develops program organizational, work structures, top level program and execution plans.
- Identifies key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities, Integrated Product Teams, suppliers, partners and customers.
- Facilitates the resolution of program issues.
- Supports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics and project schedules. Integrates the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices and helps ensure compliance with the Integrated Business Acquisition Process and Enterprise Standard Gated Process online tool.
- Implements customer and program communication and contact plans.
- Leads across functions and business units to develop proposal and acquisition strategy, to build a compliant proposal, and to transition to execution
- Supports Contracts and Estimating & Pricing in the proposal development process by building the proposal plan, identifying stakeholders, coordinating and facilitating functional inputs, and leading requirements analysis and proposal reviews
- Leads development and integration of the bill of material, impact matrix, responsibility assignment matrix, Master Assumptions List, Statement of Work, execution schedule, and proposal schedule
- Establish, monitor, and track the VC-25B on-time delivery metric for proposal submittal
- Establishes and communicates objectives and goals to ensure common direction and on-time delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
- Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
- Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various departments/disciplines (e.g. Contracts, Estimating & Pricing, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Intellectual Property, Supplier Management)
- Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal stakeholders and peers

- Bachelor degree with related work experience

- Experience adapting to changes in schedules and priorities, solving problems, and generating alternative solutions
- Strong critical thinking, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in or for the US Military
- Experience with Project Management tools
- Current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent
- Experience working with Military Commercial Derivative aircraft (MCDA)
