Role Overview:
Could you be our next Facilities Maintenance Technician? Globe Life is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the team!
This role is responsible for the upkeep and repair of buildings and their systems to ensure they remain in good working condition. Their duties typically include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs across various areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility maintenance.
This is an on-site position located in McKinney, Texas.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Repair or replace defective parts in equipment and facilities.
- Handle basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Maintain and repair doors, windows and other structural components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Keep maintenance logs and reports on daily activities.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
What You Can Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in facility maintenance or similar role preferred.
- Vocational training or certifications in maintenance-related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Proven skills using hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
