Employment Type: This is a contingent role based upon a successful bid award.
Role Summary: We’re seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist who plays a key role in driving the successful delivery of complex Federal Salesforce Public Sector solutions by ensuring the highest standards of platform integrity, data transformation, and API-driven integrations. This role is accountable for testing functionality, performance, security, and end-to-end integration flows across MuleSoft and Salesforce environments to ensure a high-quality, mission-ready product.
Working closely with the Program Manager, Technical Architects, and Integration Engineers, the QA Specialist ensures that every release meets mission objectives, system interoperability demands, and rigorous contractual requirements. This position requires strong technical testing capabilities, deep API proficiency, and experience operating within the rigorous security and compliance standards of cleared Federal delivery environments.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive & API Testing: Lead the design and execution of end-to-end test plans covering Salesforce functionality, performance, security, and complex MuleSoft API integrations (REST/SOAP) to meet stringent Federal requirements.
- Integration & Data Validation: Validate full-stack data flows across Salesforce and external legacy systems. Test MuleSoft DataWeave transformations, payloads (JSON/XML), and enterprise integration patterns.
- Security & Compliance QA: Ensure technical deliverables, Salesforce environments, and API endpoints comply with Federal security standards, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, mutual TLS), and reporting requirements.
- Risk Mitigation & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify, log, and escalate critical integration bugs, data mismatches, and technical risks, working directly with integration developers to trace logs and resolve bottlenecks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects, MuleSoft developers, and Business Analysts (BAs) to validate that Salesforce Public Sector solutions and API contracts align with technical architecture and system specs.
- Performance & Metrics: Conduct API response time, load, and performance testing, tracking quality metrics through transparent dashboards for Federal clients.
- Innovation Validation: Stay updated with the latest Salesforce and integration trends—including Agentforce, Government Cloud Plus, and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform—to validate innovative, secure solutions for Federal clients.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship Required, with ability and willingness to obtain security clearance(s).
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong API & MuleSoft Expertise: Proven proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, or similar), validating REST/SOAP web services, JSON/XML payloads, and complex authentication flows. Working knowledge of MuleSoft concepts (Mule applications, DataWeave transformations, and end-to-end API lifecycle testing).
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional integration teams in cleared delivery environments.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning, governance, and organizational skills to align technical architecture with program objectives.
- Certifications: ISTQB, MuleSoft Certified Integration Associate, PMP, or CSM preferred.
