The Internship

As a Finance Intern you will gain hands-on experience supporting Omnidian’s Finance team with financial analysis, reporting, data management and strategic projects. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business Strategy Teams to analyze financial data, assist with forecasting, and contribute to key financial decision-making processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting (33%)

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
  • Analyze financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights.
  • Support monthly financial close processes and reconciliation efforts.
  • Financial data management (33%)

  • Review financial enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and financial models for data consistency and support restructuring for increasing meaningful reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy to support ongoing financial operations.
  • Strategic Finance Support & Forecasting (30%)

  • Assist in financial modeling and budgeting exercises to forecast business performance.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Who You Are

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute.
  • Able to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Comfortable working with financial data and drawing insights from it.

Experience You’ll Need

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and basic financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and key accounting principles.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Experience That’s a Plus

  • Moderate experience with excel formulas
  • Exposure to corporate finance, investment analysis, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
  • Familiarity with the solar energy or renewable energy industry.

Program Details

  • We plan to have this role start around the beginning of Summer 2025 for two months
  • Ideal working hours would be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PST
  • You will work on 1-2 well-defined projects throughout the internship and will present at the end of the program

Compensation

  • We believe in recognizing and valuing the contributions of every intern and are committed to fostering a workplace where everyone is compensated fairly for their work
  • Compensation: Our internships offer a competitive hourly wage of $20 per hour. Interns will be paid biweekly and are expected to work 40 hours per week, based on program requirements and availability.
  • Transparency and Fairness: All interns in similar roles receive the same hourly wage ensuring fairness across the program and an inclusive and equitable work environment. Compensation is based on role responsibilities and contributions, not personal factors, ensuring all interns are paid fairly.
