About the Opportunity

Teamed for Learning is seeking experienced Digital Visual Designers to join a freelance talent pool for upcoming creative projects with one of our clients.

We're looking for talented, design-focused professionals with expertise in digital visual design, interface design, brand-led digital experiences, and motion design across web and mobile platforms.

This opportunity is ideal for established designers who enjoy working on diverse creative projects, bringing brands to life through compelling digital experiences, and collaborating with multidisciplinary creative teams.

Please Note: This is a freelance talent pool opportunity, not an immediate job opening or guaranteed assignment. Our client is building a network of skilled creative professionals who may be contacted as project needs arise. Candidates will have the flexibility to review and accept or decline opportunities based on their availability and interest.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the project scope and requirements, responsibilities may include:

  • Design visually engaging digital experiences for web and mobile platforms.

  • Create intuitive, polished user interfaces that balance visual appeal, usability, and functionality.

  • Translate brand guidelines and creative direction into cohesive digital designs.

  • Develop motion graphics, animations, and interactive visual elements that enhance digital experiences.

  • Create wireframes, mockups, visual concepts, and interactive prototypes.

  • Collaborate with creative directors, developers, and cross-functional teams to bring design concepts to life.

  • Maintain brand consistency across digital platforms, interfaces, and visual assets.

  • Adapt creative concepts for different digital formats while maintaining design quality and brand integrity.

  • Deliver high-quality creative assets in accordance with agreed project requirements and timelines.

Specific responsibilities and deliverables will be defined for each engagement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated professional experience in digital visual design, UI design, motion design, or a closely related creative discipline.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital design, web and mobile interfaces, and/or motion graphics.

  • Strong visual design fundamentals, including typography, layout, composition, color theory, and branding.

  • Experience designing responsive digital experiences for web and mobile platforms.

  • A solid understanding of how brand identity translates into engaging digital products and experiences.

  • Proficiency in relevant design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects, or equivalent industry-standard software.

  • Ability to translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into polished visual deliverables.

  • Excellent attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage agreed deliverables independently.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with remote creative teams.

We're particularly interested in experienced designers whose primary professional focus is hands-on digital and visual design, rather than UX research, product strategy, or project management.

Candidates specializing in either interface design or motion design are encouraged to apply. Experience across both disciplines is a plus.

Location Requirements

This is a fully remote opportunity. However, candidates must currently reside in one of the following locations to be considered:

  • New York, USA

  • Chicago, USA

  • San Francisco, USA

  • London, UK

Applicants must also have the appropriate legal authorization to perform services in their location.

Remote collaboration expectations, including any relevant time-zone overlap, will be communicated for each project.

How the Freelance Talent Pool Works

Our client is establishing a flexible network of creative freelancers to support upcoming projects as needed.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Project-Based Opportunities: Suitable freelancers may be contacted when projects arise that align with their skills, experience, and expertise.

  • Flexible Availability: Candidates may review proposed assignments and accept or decline opportunities based on their availability and interest.

  • Variable Project Timelines: Project start dates, duration, and expected workloads will vary depending on client requirements. There may not be predetermined start or end dates.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
