What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)
- Research emerging foundation models and large language models applicable to grid operations.
- Prototype AI-powered workflows for utility control room and engineering use cases.
- Evaluate in-house and external foundation model capabilities using real-world power system scenarios.
- Analyze operational datasets, engineering documents, and grid knowledge sources.
- Develop proof-of-concepts for intelligent search, question-answering, and decision support.
- Collaborate with power system experts, software engineers, and AI researchers.
- Document research findings and recommend future product opportunities.
- Present technical results to AGI leadership and product teams.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or AI/ML
- Understanding of power systems, energy systems, or electric utility operations.
- Experience with Python and data analytics.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and generative AI technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

- Coursework or project experience in power systems.
- Experience with large language models, RAG, or generative AI.
