About the opportunity

We are seeking a Genomics Sales Specialist remote-based in Philadelphia, DC or Boston area to support our Quantabio brand portfolio, including NGS, qPCR, and PCR reagents.

This individual will have a sales territory encompassing the Northeastern US states.

The Quantabio sales team offers and supports a specialized genomics portfolio that operates independently from the broader QIAGEN product portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and qPCR technologies, along with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a wide range of scientific audiences.

Your tasks include

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction within the assigned territory

  • Meet or exceed sales targets using company tools, processes, and strategic sales initiatives

  • Execute territory and account strategies while maintaining accurate sales forecasting

  • Identify and engage key accounts and thought leaders within the genomics and molecular biology space

  • Collaborate with distribution partners to generate leads and drive revenue growth

  • Maintain accurate and timely activity within the CRM system

  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites, meetings, and industry events

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required

  • Master’s or PhD in Molecular Biology or a related field preferred

  • Prior experience with NGS, PCR, or qPCR technologies strongly preferred

  • Previous laboratory bench experience in molecular biology techniques preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience preferred

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently from a home office environment

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed

Travel requirements

  • Travel throughout the Northeast U.S. required

  • Overnight travel up to 4–5 days per month

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required

The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a commission plan and generous benefits
