About Sand

Sand Technologies is a fast-growing enterprise AI Product led company that solves real-world problems for large blue-chip companies and governments worldwide.

We’re pioneers of meaningful AI: our solutions go far beyond chatbots. We are using data and AI to solve the world’s biggest issues in telecommunications, sustainable water management, energy, healthcare, climate change, smart cities, and other areas that have a real impact on the world. For example, our AI systems help to manage the water supply for the entire city of London. We created the AI algorithms that enabled the 7th largest telecommunications company in the world to plan its network in 300 cities in record time. And we built a digital healthcare system that enables 30m people in a country to get world-class healthcare despite a shortage of doctors.

We’ve grown our revenues by over 500% in the last 12 months while winning prestigious scientific and industry awards for our cutting-edge technology. Our success is supported by about 300 engineers and scientists working across Africa, Europe, the UK, and the US.

About the role

Sand is seeking a Global Product Marketing Manager to lead marketing strategy and execution across all regions and industries. This role owns global product marketing, brand execution, and marketing operations, managing a central marketing team and working closely with sales, partnerships, product, and engineering to translate Sand’s platform capabilities into clear narratives, campaigns, and market presence that support both direct client revenue and partner-enabled growth.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Define and execute Sand’s global marketing strategy across brand, product marketing, digital, content, and events
  • Own global brand identity execution, ensuring consistent application of Sand story and brand guidelines
  • Lead global product marketing, including positioning, messaging, case studies, and thought leadership
  • Manage central marketing staff (designer, web developer, videographer, content marketer)
  • Plan and deliver major events, including Sand’s flagship summit and key industry conferences
  • Oversee global digital channels including website, LinkedIn, YouTube, newsletters, and press
  • Develop sales and marketing collateral, including decks, presentations, and executive materials
  • Support sales teams with marketing-sourced pipeline across direct and partner-led motions
  • Collaborate closely with Partnerships, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams
Requirements - Essential
  • 7-10+ years experience in B2B or enterprise marketing, ideally in technology, data, or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong background in product marketing and brand leadership
  • Proven experience leading multi-channel marketing functions at a global level
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing creative and marketing teams
  • Comfort using Google Slides, LinkedIn, and Figma as core working tools
  • Ability to operate hands-on while setting strategic direction
 Requirements - Preferable
  • Experience marketing complex platforms or services to enterprise or public-sector clients
  • Exposure to ecosystem-based or partner-enabled business models
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Familiarity with AI, data platforms, or applied analytics

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with significant in-person requirements. While some responsibilities can be performed remotely, the role demands regular presence on the ground to build relationships, oversee implementation, and represent Sand with local stakeholders. At the same time, given the high degree of virtual collaboration with colleagues and partners across multiple geographies, the successful candidate must be highly self-driven, comfortable working in small in-person teams while contributing to larger efforts virtually, and disciplined in using online collaboration tools and video conferencing to maintain constant communication.

Due to the considerable amount of virtual work and interaction with colleagues and customers in different physical locations internationally, it is essential that the successful applicant has the drive and ethic to succeed in working in small teams physically but in larger efforts virtually. Self-drive to communicate constantly using online collaboration and video conferencing is essential.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
