The Lifecycle Campaign Manager is a hands-on marketer who translates lifecycle strategy into coordinated, measurable member acquisition and engagement campaigns. Approximately 70% of the role will focus on lifecycle campaign execution, 20% on campaign project management, and 10% on selected cross-channel Growth initiatives. This person will build and optimize campaigns, coordinate assets and stakeholders, manage campaign timelines and approvals, analyze performance, and identify opportunities to improve how the team works. This is an individual-contributor role with significant exposure to Marketing Operations, Data, Content, Design, and other Growth functions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with the Sr Technical Lifecycle Marketing Manager to build, test, and deploy multi-channel member acquisition and engagement campaigns (email, mail, SMS) in Braze.

  • Build, launch, and maintain standard and moderately complex campaigns and Canvases using established templates and governance. This includes audience segmentation, trigger logic, personalization, dynamic content, and A/B testing.

  • Monitor daily campaign health, tracking key conversion funnel metrics (engagement, conversion, activation, incremental lift, and campaign efficiency.) to surface actionable baseline optimization opportunities.

  • Own day-to-day campaign orchestration from intake through retrospective, including developing briefs and workback plans, coordinating assets and approvals, managing dependencies, and keeping stakeholders informed.

  • Build and maintain repeatable AI-assisted project management workflows to keep campaign launches on schedule and eliminate cross-functional bottlenecks.

  • Support a limited number of broader Growth initiatives such as webinars, landing-page tests, or SEO/SEM campaigns based on team priorities.

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Develop a working understanding of Virta’s member acquisition lifecycle, campaign calendar, core audience segments, success metrics, and marketing technology stack.

  • Build cross-functional relationships with Lifecycle, Marketing Operations, Data, Content, Design, and Product.

  • Take on execution of standard and moderately complex lifecycle campaigns, managing briefs, timelines, assets, approvals, and launches.

  • Analyze campaign performance and contribute recommendations for testing, segmentation, personalization, and automation.

  • Support select cross-channel Growth initiatives and implement AI-assisted workflows that improve campaign planning, execution, or reporting.

  • Take ownership of campaign project management across your broader remit (coordinating SEO content pushes, landing page updates, and lifecycle launches) while implementing AI-assisted workflows.

Must-Haves
  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in lifecycle marketing, campaign management, or growth marketing within a B2C or B2B2C environment.

  • Proven hands-on experience building, segmenting, and executing campaigns in enterprise customer engagement platforms (Braze, Iterable, SFMC, etc).

  • Comfort working with customer-data concepts such as events, attributes, segments, eligibility rules, and behavioral triggers, along with the ability to communicate requirements clearly to Marketing Operations and Data partners.

  • Strong track record of project managing complex, multi-asset marketing campaigns across creative, web, and operational teams.

  • Hands-on proficiency with growth analytics tools (GA4, Looker, Amplitude) to pull performance data and report on conversion funnels.

  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools to streamline campaign workflows, draft variants, or optimize task tracking.

Nice-To-Haves
  • Hands-on Braze experience, including Canvas, Liquid, Content Blocks, Catalogs, or Connected Content.

  • Experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance, or another regulated consumer environment requiring formal legal, clinical, or compliance review.

  • Experience with direct mail, SMS, client-specific B2B2C campaigns, webinar promotion, or other channels beyond email.

  • Basic SQL, JSON, or data-schema literacy, sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical partners.

  • Exposure to landing-page optimization, web campaigns, SEO, or SEM as part of a broader cross-channel Growth team.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
