What We're About

Nevis is building the AI-native wealth management platform for the largest RIAs in the US. We've scaled to over $300B in assets under management in under 1.5 years, backed by $40M from Sequoia Capital, ICONIQ, and Ribbit. Go-to-market is now the critical lever for the next phase of our growth, and hiring is the bottleneck. We're looking for someone to fix that.

What You'll Do

Build and own the GTM hiring function at Nevis from the ground up, working directly with our CEO. There is no playbook here — you'll be writing it.

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for all commercial roles — sales, deployment strategists, customer success, and other GTM functions — from sourcing through offer and close.

  • Partner directly with Mark to define hiring plans and headcount priorities as we scale toward $1T+ in assets under management.

  • Build and run a sourcing engine capable of identifying and engaging top commercial talent from enterprise software, financial services, consulting, and high-growth startups.

  • Design and continuously improve the GTM interview process — scorecards, structured interviews, and candidate evaluation criteria — in partnership with hiring managers.

  • Act as the first impression of Nevis for every commercial candidate: represent the company's mission, culture, and opportunity with precision and credibility.

  • Manage the full candidate pipeline in Ashby, keeping data clean and hiring velocity high.

  • Build offer strategy and negotiate compensation in partnership with leadership.

  • Continuously refine sourcing channels, messaging, and process based on what's converting and what isn't.

  • Set the foundation for a scalable GTM recruiting function as headcount grows — this role will define how Nevis hires commercially for years to come.

What We Value
  • Ownership. You build from zero without waiting for a playbook to be handed to you.

  • Speed with rigor. We move fast, but never at the expense of hiring quality — every GTM hire matters disproportionately at this stage.

  • Commercial fluency. You understand what makes a great salesperson or deployment strategist, not just how to run a process.

  • Low ego, high output. You'll be doing sourcing, screening, and coordination yourself — this isn't a role with a team under you on day one.

  • Comfort with ambiguity. We're inventing GTM motion and the hiring engine behind it simultaneously.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally with direct ownership of GTM, sales, or commercial hiring at a high-growth startup.

  • A track record of building recruiting functions or processes from scratch, not just operating inside an existing one.

  • Experience recruiting for enterprise sales, deployment/forward-deployed, or customer success roles — you know what good looks like in these profiles.

  • Excellent judgment on talent — you can assess commercial acumen, not just resume pattern-matching.

  • Strong communication skills; you'll be the face of Nevis to every commercial candidate.

  • Comfortable working directly with a CEO/founder with high standards and a fast pace.

  • Based in or willing to be based in New York.

Nice to Have
  • Experience recruiting in fintech, wealth management, or financial services.

  • Familiarity with Ashby or similar modern ATS platforms.

  • Existing network in enterprise software or financial services sales talent.

Why Join Nevis
  • Build a function from zero at a company scaling toward $1T+ in AUM.

  • Work directly with the CEO and shape how Nevis hires for its most important commercial roles.

  • Join at a pivotal moment — GTM is the current top company priority.

  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits package.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
