About the Role
Archive is seeking a Head of Ops to lead and scale our operational processes. This position reports to the CEO. You will be responsible for building a wide range of internal systems and our partnership ecosystem while ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment across teams to support rapid growth in a B2B2C SaaS environment. This is a senior but hands-on role—perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, is comfortable juggling multiple complex priorities, and has a track record of building and leading high performance teams.
Responsibilities
Partnerships & Vendor Management: Manage and optimize ongoing relationships with vendors that support our core offering (e.g., logistics partners, payments, sales tax vendors), including pricing negotiations. Operationalize new partnerships including vendor evaluation and selection processes. Develop strategy for new categories of partnerships (e.g. with returns providers).
Customer Experience (CX): Lead, set strategy for, and manage the CX team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Build scalable, efficient processes that improve service delivery while reducing costs over time. Establish a strong feedback loop between CX and other teams to drive continuous improvements.
International Expansion: Assess viability of entering new markets and develop plans for executing on new market expansions including identifying and evaluating new partners, understanding local laws and scoping operational requirements.
Biz Ops: Take on biz ops projects and build out the business operations function in the future. Proactively identify and solve operational bottlenecks across the organization. Potentially lead strategic planning and OKR setting and tracking in the future.
What We’re Looking For
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A “do-er” mindset—someone who can execute independently while also building scalable teams and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach.
- Comfortable working closely with technical teams and product organizations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, negotiate contracts, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Ideal experience: 10+ years, including 5+ years in operational roles in B2B software startups
- Remote ok, with preference for New York or Bay Area
Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible for equity as well, and all employees are eligible for a full benefits package including employee and dependent healthcare and 401(k) enrollment. Our team of over 50 employees is currently remote-first, with an office in NYC and optional in-person work for those located in the area. We have company offsites twice a year to bring the full team together in person, and occasional travel is expected as part of the job.
