We're hiring a Head of Recruiting and Human Resources at Legalist. This position reports directly to Legalist’s leadership. You’ll be joining a growing team of investment professionals, attorneys, and software engineers. If you're an experienced human resources professional interested in helping us grow to the next level, we’d love to talk with you.

Core responsibilities:

  • Own recruiting companywide, including originating attractive candidates from various pipelines
  • Assist leadership with developing compensation and retention programs for senior staff members
  • Manage payroll/compensation, benefits, and related administrative matters for a fully distributed team of investment professionals
  • Oversee annual evaluation process and facilitate year-round performance feedback for individual teams/personnel
  • Develop and own employee onboarding and ongoing training processes
  • Assist and provide guidance to executive and legal teams on employment law compliance and related issues

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ total relevant experience
  • 3+ years’ experience originating prospective candidates in financial services (e.g., private funds or asset management)
  • Highly organized with well-developed attention to detail and project management abilities
  • Prior experience at multistate and/or international employer strongly preferred
  • Flexibility, humility, and a sense of humor required
