An education technology company whose peer and alumni mentoring platform helps colleges and universities strengthen student retention, belonging, and career readiness is hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive new-business growth across U.S. higher education. This is a builder’s role: you’ll develop and run your own territory, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, rather than managing an existing book of business. You’ll sell a combination of SaaS and consultative, services-oriented solutions directly to senior institutional leaders, reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer. We’re looking for a proactive, self-directed seller who’s comfortable building pipeline from the ground up, brings genuine curiosity about how mentoring and student-support programs improve outcomes, and pairs consultative instincts with executive-level presence.

If you have…

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, including meaningful experience selling SaaS, tech-enabled services, or strategic solutions directly to colleges and universities
  • A proven track record of new-business wins and quota attainment in U.S. higher education
  • Experience running complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with senior and executive decision-makers, and a working knowledge of how higher ed institutions buy, fund, and procure
  • Strong territory development and pipeline-generation skills, with CRM and forecasting discipline
  • U.S. work authorization and willingness to travel approximately 20-30%

We look forward to hearing from you!

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
