What You'll Do
HR Operations
Manage onboarding and offboarding from end to end: data entry, systems setup, coordination with IT/facilities, exit logistics
Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (Rippling); audit regularly for data integrity
Process employee changes (promotions, transfers, terminations) in Rippling
Respond to employee questions on policies, processes, and general HR matters
Support HR & Benefit compliance tasks (I-9s, required postings, 5500’s, EEO reports, recordkeeping)
Benefits Administration
Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA, state leave, ADA accommodations) from request through return-to-work, under P&E leadership direction as you build proficiency in the role
Support open enrollment: assist with employee communications, troubleshooting elections, and auditing files after transmission to vendors
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.)
Manage benefits enrollment/termination in carrier portals and reconcile against Rippling records
Partner with the broker/carriers on escalations and plan administration issues, escalating complex leave and benefits matters to P&E Leadership as needed
Talent Coordination & Administration (~15% of role)
Open and post roles in ATS (Ashby)
Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication
Maintain applicant tracking records and recruiting status updates
Support recruiter with offer letters and coordinate pre-employment and new-hire documentation
Initiate background checks and follow up on discrepancies
What You'll Bring
2–4 years of experience in HR generalist and/or benefits administration work
Comfort working in an HRIS (Rippling experience a plus) and benefits carrier portals; strong attention to detail with employee data
Working knowledge of leave laws (FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave requirements)
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing competing priorities in a small-team environment
Clear, empathetic communication style. You'll be explaining benefits and policies to people who aren't HR experts
Comfort supporting light recruiting coordination (job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication) alongside your core HR ops and benefits work
What Success Looks Like
Onboarding/offboarding runs smoothly with no dropped steps
Employee data in the HRIS is accurate and audit-ready
Leave cases are managed compliantly and with care for the employee experience
Open enrollment runs on schedule with minimal escalations
Employees trust this person as a reliable source for benefits and HR questions
