Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Industrial Engineers (Mid Or Senior-level) support maintenance, modification and upgrades of various programs (ex. Executive Fleet, C-17, F-18, and AWACS), based out of San Antonio, TX.
You will be the focal in this field constantly reviews the allocation of resources, analyzes productivity, and seeks out ways to maximize production while minimizing cost. This position presents challenging and rewarding opportunities that never fail to engage intellectual curiosity and push the edge of innovative thinking.
The success of the Industrial Engineer has a direct correlation to the success of the program they support, you will also have a unique opportunity to design, stabilize, improve, and transform production systems and processes to achieve world class operational excellence for some of the world's most sophisticated aircraft and systems.
In this role you will be overseeing and assisting in the development of shop floor operating schedules, capacity planning, and developing spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics and operations research.)
You will be providing summary analysis and metrics for consultation to internal customers at various levels. You will use your skills to lead the research, design, development, improvement and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
You will also lead the use of engineering methods to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, and equipment) in the creation and validation of products.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week.
  • Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity.
  • Designs, develops, analyzes, tests, evaluates and implements processes and technology insertions by applying industrial engineering techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency and after-market services.
  • Monitors performance, supports production and systems to meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Translates engineering, systems, and mathematical concepts to practical applications throughout the product life cycle.
  • Researches emerging technologies and develops industrial engineering tools and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
  • Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
  • Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
  • Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
  • Leads metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans, related to our team's productivity, efficiency and first-time quality, including Lean+ events, 5S improvement plans, and/or special initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Should be equally comfortable working in an office or manufacturing environment.
  • Schedule work plans, data analysis (historical, trends and production impacts), staffing and process improvements.
  • Utilize engineering methods to assist in developing optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, and equipment) in the creation and validation of products.
  • Your superior analytical, critical thinking, continuous learning and strong interpersonal skills will ensure successful projects and team performance.
  • Must be able to interact with employees to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing and documenting processes and collecting data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during various production phases.


Basic Qualifications (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • 3+ years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
  • 3+ years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment
  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Valuable Management (EVM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Experience with effective time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • 5+ years of experience working in a fast paced, collaborative team environment
  • 5+ years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
  • Experience in developing and deploying standard processes
  • Proficient in structured problem solving
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Experience working with data sets from a wide variety of sources such as SQL server or Oracle preferred
  • Experience with Aircraft modifications, maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul (MRO)
  • Experience in program set up, execution planning, operations planning, and production support to include nonconformances
  • Experience with Tableau

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
Pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $100,300 - $135,700
Pay range for Senior (Level 4): $122,400 - $165,600
