This position is responsible for all aspects of client service related to claims of both personal and commercial clients of the agency and to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to insureds, company representatives and any outside third party related to the insured’s claim. Responsible for working cohesively as a team with all members of the agency personnel and abiding by established core values and supporting agency goals.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for claims administration for the agency.
- Serve as the primary focal point between the customer and the carrier for all submitted claims.
- Responsible for the lifecycle of the claims process, including, the review and submission/filing of all new claims; obtaining and verifying any all details needed; and corresponding with the carrier and customer throughout the claims process.
- Work with Account Managers and Producer population to ensure the proper notifications and follow ups are made.
- Follow and adhere to established processes that support organizational goals.
- Act as a liaison between agency and carrier partners to promote strong communication and problem solving as claims situations arise.
- Cross-service existing clients to add needed coverage, increase limits and reduce E & O exposure for agency.
- Systematically monitor status of all open claims, documenting the agency management system
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma required/
- 3 years of claims work experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance field.
- Possess an active Property & Casualty license.
- Fluent in terminology of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer Service mentality with a high degree of empathy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills.
- Previous experience with Applied Epic preferred.
