We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Manager to lead a team of business analysts supporting the BAE Systems Enterprise portfolio of Engineering Tools. The successful candidate will lead the team in a dynamic environment, ensuring effective collaboration via MS Teams and delivering high-quality solutions that meet stakeholder needs. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive operational success.
Beyond day-to-day management, the candidate will be responsible for modernizing team operations by automating installs and centralizing fragmented information. A key priority will be the capture and dissemination of tribal knowledge into the team's formal knowledge base to ensure organizational resilience. To optimize resource allocation, the Manager will align to a tiered support system while simultaneously upskilling the workforce under their responsibility to handle more complex challenges.
The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of COTS applications, provide technical and functional support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation.
BAE System's IT department is investing in Digital Transformation and this role will be key in evaluating the portfolio and staff for alignment to these initiatives.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field AND 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $96623 - $164259
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Leverage MS Teams and workflows to create a single source of truth and hub for the team. Create and share best practices with teammates.
- Lead and manage a team of application owners, including providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members have the necessary skills, resources, and support to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a primary liaison between Engineering, Procurement, Project Sponsors, End-Users and Technical Teams, to facilitate effective information sharing and coordination.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and negotiate priorities as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program success. Communicate application support plans, roadmaps, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams.
- Business Analyst Application Administration
- Drives collaboration and communication among IT teams and Engineering, ensuring aligned priorities and seamless operations.
- Assist with Budgeting for sector application usage and drive continuous improvement in this area to utilize existing systems (Coupa, iValua, ServiceNow) to provide the data to stakeholders in a repeatable "hands-free" manner.
- Partner with Software Asset Management to transition Application License Management and fold in to Strategic Portfolio Management.
- Drive operational excellence throughout the software renewal process to provide standardized output sharing utilization, license counts, and costs to our stakeholders.
- Author roadmaps for tactical (e.g. application upgrades and releases) and strategic (e.g. digital thread integrations) planning for application portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures with experience in and knowledge of DFARS; NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC or similar security controls and work to automate the control function as much as possible.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to the Business Analyst team, ensuring solutions meet technical requirements and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to inform technical decisions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field AND 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Knowledge of Engineering Tools and Applications
- Managing service ticket operations, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and incidents in ServiceNow by monitoring SLAs, KPIs, and client satisfaction metrics to ensure service excellence
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing IT projects
- Proven experience managing COTS Application Licenses
- Knowledge of Engineering Tools deployment
- Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities with great time management and organizational skill
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong business acumen and understanding of technical requirements
