Jr Java Developer - USA

The Role
Cogniify is hiring a Java Full Stack Developer to build and improve web applications used in real business workflows. This is primarily a Java development role. We are also looking for someone who has explored basic AI integrations, or is interested in adding AI features to applications.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  

• Develop user interfaces using React or Angular.
  

• Create REST APIs and work with SQL databases.
  

• Write clean, tested code and take features from development through deployment.
  

• Work with the team to troubleshoot issues and improve application performance.
  

• Support simple AI features, such as connecting an application to an LLM API or adding an AI assistant to an existing workflow.
  

What We Are Looking For

• 2 - 4 years of hands-on Java full stack development experience.
  

• Strong Java and Spring Boot skills, with experience building REST APIs.
  

• Experience with React or Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
  

• Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  

• Familiarity with Git, testing and CI/CD practices.
  

• Basic exposure to AI APIs, prompt engineering or AI-enabled application features. You do not need to be an AI specialist.
