Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to support multiple client engagements within the Insurance domain. This is an entry-level role ideal for recent college graduates who are eager to build a career in application development and production support.

This role involves working closely with clients and internal onshore/offshore teams to support application enhancements, troubleshooting issues, and assist with software deliveries. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for technology and problem solving are key to success in this role.

The position reports to the Senior Assistant Vice President and offers hands-on exposure to enterprise systems, Agile methodologies, and insurance platforms.  Must be able to attend a two-week on-site Training Workshop at the Indianapolis Office

• Support incident reviews and documentation

• Assist with sprint and release deliveries

• Work with onshore and offshore teams

• Provide application and technical production support

• Support automation and process improvement initiatives

• Assist with application upgrades and releases

• Learn and follow compliance and development standards

Qualifications

Essential Functions

• Support application design, development, and testing

• Assist with troubleshooting application-specific issues

• Learn business requirements with functional teams

• Create and maintain technical documentation

• Communicate effectively with team members

Technical Skills

Required:

• Basic knowledge of C# or COBOL

• Exposure to .NET, ASP.NET, REST/SOAP, JavaScript

• Basic SQL and relational database concepts

Nice to Have:

• GitHub, JIRA, Postman, Jenkins exposure

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field

Experience

• 0–2 years (internships or academic projects acceptable)


The posted range is the hiring range for this role — a subset of the broader range available to employees over time — and reflects base salary across our national hiring scale. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications.
