Job Description: (Contingent Upon Award)

 We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer to drive application development efforts for a large-scale digital modernization program supporting the U.S. Army. The Lead Developer will set the technical vision for the development team, oversee coding practices, and ensure alignment with modern software engineering and data management techniques. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership in secure DevSecOps environments, and extensive experience implementing Salesforce-based solutions in mission-critical contexts.

Basic Requirements:  

  • B.S Degree
  • 10+ years of experience developing applications with modern coding languages.
  • Strong understanding of current software development and data management techniques.
  • Proven ability to set technical direction and development vision for teams.
  • 3+ years leading coding reviews and technical reviews.
  • 3+ years leading development teams in DevSecOps environments.
  • Hands-on experience delivering Salesforce implementations

Additional Qualifications:

  • Expertise with modern development tools and platforms (e.g., GitLab, Atlassian Suite, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Prior experience supporting Army or DoD programs with secure software delivery.
  • Familiarity with Agile at scale frameworks and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

Responsibilities:

In this role, the Lead Developer will:

  • Lead application development efforts using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Define and communicate the development vision and coding standards for the team.
  • Provide technical oversight and conduct code reviews and technical reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Guide developers in adopting DevSecOps practices, including secure coding, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Implement and optimize modern data management techniques to support system performance and scalability.
  • Partner with system architects and program managers to align development efforts with overall program objectives.
  • Lead Salesforce solution implementations, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and usability.
