Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Join BILL as a Lead Product Manager on the Cards team and help shape how small and midsize businesses pay, get paid, and grow through card-based payments. As an integral member of the Cards team, you will own product strategy and growth for BILL’s AP card and virtual card, across credit, debit, and prepaid experiences.

You will harness experimentation, funnel analytics, and AI-assisted tools to drive card adoption, engagement, and revenue. Partnering with Engineering, Design, CX, Operations, Marketing, and Sales, you will deliver card experiences that help small and midsize businesses manage payments and financial operations with confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for BILL’s AP card and virtual card, including the expansion toward broader card experiences for AP, such as prepaid cards backed by a cash account.
  • Own the card funnel from acquisition through onboarding, activation, and repeat usage, turning one-time card users into high-engagement customers and reducing reliance on manual activation and support.
  • Design and run experiments, decide when to test and when to launch, and tie results to adoption, usage, and revenue outcomes.
  • Define the card experience for distinct customer segments: the SMB accounts payable user, the accountant managing a book of clients, and the supplier receiving payment by virtual card.
  • Build business cases for new card investments using card unit economics and the partner landscape, including issuing, processing, and network relationships.
  • Lead cross-functional execution with Engineering, Design, CX, Operations, Marketing, and Sales, directing designers and analysts and coordinating launches, dependencies, and reliability across payment surfaces.
  • Define success metrics, instrument tracking, and build dashboards that explain why metrics move, pairing quantitative data with customer insight to guide prioritization.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including owning payments or card products with demonstrated ownership of both strategy and execution
  • 5+ years of experience building products for commercial businesses or consumers in a startup or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Experience bringing a card product to market (credit, debit, prepaid, virtual, or commercial, consumer or business) and the results to show for it, such as adoption, activation, usage, revenue, or retention
  • Working knowledge of card issuance and payments, including authorization, processing, settlement, unit economics, and the partner relationships that make card products viable
  • A track record of running growth funnels and experiments, defining your own success metrics, and prioritizing without a fully mapped playbook
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools in product work, plus experience leading projects across Engineering, Design, Operations, and Go-To-Market teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with corporate spend, accounts payable workflows, or SMB card payments
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth fintech where you helped scale a financial product
  • Familiarity with prepaid card programs, stored-value or cash account products, or product-led growth in multi-sided customer ecosystems

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
