Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistical concepts, supply chain terminology, and drayage operations best practices, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in drayage operations. In this role, you will work closely with both internal and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient logistical operations. Your duties will include gathering and analyzing data, compiling reports and metrics, providing timely and actionable communications, and resolving accessorial and freight payment issues. This position requires exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, proactive customer service abilities, and strong problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret data to compile reports and metrics that drive decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Document Reconciliation: Interpret invoices and other documents from external companies to reconcile with internal systems, including maintaining statements of accounts and collecting required documents.
  • Freight Charge Management: Monitor, audit, dispute, and report monthly on freight charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations with the ability to handle large sets of data efficiently and accurately.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that enhance efficiency.
  • Communication: Provide timely and actionable communications to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across all logistical operations.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve accessorial and freight payment issues, employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of logistical concepts, supply chain terminology, and drayage operations best practices, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in drayage operations.
  • Familiarity with UIIA detention and per diem policies and dispute procedures for major SSLs and IEPs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Exceptional time and task management skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks under demanding timelines.
  • Experience with freight auditing and invoicing processes.
  • Strong collaborative and team-based approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in intermodal transportation or related industries.
The expected salary range for this role is $30-35/hour. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
