Position Description

 
PingWind is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist III (LMS) who will provide technical, analytical, and lifecycle support to the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Division (MEWSD) for critical U.S. Navy Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Decoy, and Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) systems. This role supports cradle-to-grave activities, including engineering, technology transition, installation, logistics, product support, test and evaluation, sustainment, maintenance, and repair. The LMS will integrate logistics, data science, reliability and maintainability engineering, and operations research to analyze and model complex systems, improve operational availability, and support data-driven decisions. This position directly contributes to optimizing warfighting capability, system readiness, reliability, and lifecycle performance while balancing mission requirements, performance, and cost.

Responsibilities:

Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
•    Integrate and coordinate logistics processes across operational, acquisition, sustainment, and wholesale environments to support weapon systems, subsystems, and associated equipment.
•    Plan, develop, initiate, integrate, and manage life-cycle logistics activities supporting system readiness, operational availability, maintainability, and sustainment.
•    Direct integrated logistics processes and develop support policies, procedures, plans, and systems to ensure effective and efficient lifecycle support.
•    Develop and implement logistics directives, procedures, and guidance supporting Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Decoy, and SEWIP systems throughout their lifecycle.
•    Coordinate logistics requirements across engineering, maintenance, supply, acquisition, program management, and operational organizations to ensure an integrated product support approach.
•    Analyze logistics, maintenance, supply, reliability, and readiness data to identify supportability risks, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
•    Support logistics planning for technology transition, fielding, installation, test and evaluation, sustainment, maintenance, repair, and system modifications.
•    Establish and enforce logistics standards and processes to ensure personnel are properly trained, equipped, and prepared to execute assigned support requirements.
•    Develop logistics documentation, reports, metrics, assessments, and recommendations to support program management and data-driven decision-making.
•    Coordinate and track logistics actions to ensure requirements are completed on schedule, within established performance standards, and in support of mission objectives.
•    Support continuous improvement initiatives that optimize warfighting capability, system readiness, operational availability, lifecycle performance, and cost effectiveness
