We’d love to hear from you if:

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.

As a Manager, Media Investment you will focus on:

Client‑Centric

  • Lead Media Investment planning and execution for your accounts across TV, OTT/CTV, OLV, Audio, and Display; ensure plans align with client goals and full‑funnel strategies with clear trade‑offs, channel roles, pacing, and investment recommendations.
  • Co‑present investment recommendations and performance updates in client touchpoints alongside Senior Buyers/TVAD/Client Partners; explain marketplace conditions and partner performance in clear, business‑friendly language.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic expansion, optimization, and campaign growth, bringing pragmatic ideas and clear rationale to your leads and clients.

Product‑Led

  • Maintain strong hands‑on‑keys skills in relevant platforms (DSPs, research/planning tools, ad servers) and lead by example in how to set up, QA, and optimize buys.
  • Guide your team in using platform features and partner capabilities (e.g., premium inventory, audience/data tools, packaging options, automation) safely and effectively; help structure small, low‑risk tests.
  • Assist in evaluating new partner offerings and opportunities; summarize pros/cons and suitability for your accounts; support Senior Managers and Directors in deciding what to test or adopt.

Data & Measurement‑Driven

  • Review campaign performance data (spend, delivery, reach, CAC/ROAS, quality metrics such as viewability/IVT) regularly; help your team turn data into clear “what’s happening” and “what we should consider doing” statements.
  • Work with TVAD and Analytics/Econometrics to apply basic incrementality/lift learnings and MMM pointers in your investment decisions; understand when to lean in, hold steady, or pull back.
  • Own and oversee QA and delivery hygiene on your accounts: make sure your team catches and addresses under‑delivery, tagging/trafficking errors, quality issues, and contract compliance, and that fixes are documented.

The Tinuiti Way

  • Apply Tinuiti’s buying, negotiation, and stewardship playbooks; ensure your team follows standards for brand safety/verification, viewability/IVT, frequency/overlap, and QA.
  • Serve as a go‑to resource in at least one area of the TV/audio/display landscape; help your team understand how marketplace changes (formats, pricing, data, quality) impact your accounts and decisions.
  • Keep yourself and your team current on media trends through publisher meetings and independent research; share meaningful updates and opportunities with internal partners.

Owner Mindset

  • Love Growth: Support and sometimes lead the design of growth plays (inventory upgrades, new partner packages, data audiences) within your accounts; help define what success looks like and how your team will run and read the test.
  • Hate Waste: Challenge and improve economics (rates, added value, guarantees) and quality on your accounts; ensure your team isn’t repeating the same issues and that basic processes (orders, QA checklists) are followed.
  • Take ownership of moderately complex, cross‑account projects (e.g., updating rate cards, refining QA templates, rationalizing partners for your cluster of accounts) that improve how Media Investment operates day‑to‑day.

People Leader

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of Associates/Senior Associates/Buyers; set clear goals and expectations, give regular feedback, and help team members grow their skills and responsibility.
  • Review your team’s work before it goes to Senior Managers or Directors, TVAD, or clients; coach on both detail and judgment.
  • Help your team balance workload and priorities; teach them when to solve problems themselves and when to escalate; model a collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–7+ years of experience in a media agency or publisher environment, focused on media buying in linear TV, OTT/CTV, digital audio, and/or display; exposure to related channels (commerce, OOH, experiential, paid social) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leveraging partner relationships and marketplace knowledge to negotiate and execute high‑value media opportunities; demonstrable, ongoing relationships with key media salespeople.
  • Experience leading a small team of individual contributors (formally or as a strong de facto lead); comfortable balancing hands‑on work with team oversight.
  • Direct hands‑on‑keys experience in industry platforms (e.g., DSPs, research/planning tools, ad servers) with the ability to coach others on correct usage and QA.
  • Baseline knowledge of incrementality testing and in‑channel/cross‑channel measurement approaches (e.g., MMM pointers, ghost bidding, conversion lift); able to work with TVAD/Analytics to interpret partner studies and guardrails.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow‑through; demonstrated ability to oversee process and QA for both your own work and that of your team.
  • Self‑motivated, curious, and collaborative; asks good questions and supports a positive, problem‑solving team environment.
  • Working knowledge of strategic marketing and communication; able to help promote new media opportunities internally and, when appropriate, with clients.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets and solid business writing and presentation skills; excellent time management across multiple projects and accounts.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
