As our Engineering Manager for AI and ML, you won’t just run stand-ups—you’ll architect, code, and scale systems while leading a high-performing team in a fast-moving startup environment. You're onsite in our downtown Seattle office daily and working alongside our fantastic cross-functional teams. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and grow a cross-functional team building document intelligence, medical record analysis, and legal AI assistants.
  • Architect and scale cloud-native AI systems using distributed systems, serverless frameworks, and multi-model architectures.
  • Translate LLM, RAG, and generative AI research into production-ready solutions trusted by attorneys in high-stakes cases.
  • Ship fast—prototype, iterate, and deliver features that directly improve attorney outcomes.
  • Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation, speed, and accountability.
  • Stay hands-on with architecture design, open-source AI tools, and performance tuning.
  • Own product delivery end-to-end—from whiteboard to production deployment.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Track record of shipping complex, high-quality systems under aggressive timelines.
  • Deep expertise in LLMs, generative AI workflows, document processing pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proven ability to innovate through patents, open-source contributions, or thought leadership.
  • Skilled at bridging technical capabilities with customer and domain needs in a high-stakes industries.
  • Experienced team builder who creates high-trust environments, balancing rapid execution with mentorship and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in technical leadership or management roles.
  • Proven success leading teams delivering AI or distributed system products to enterprise customers.
  • Hands-on expertise with LLM integration, generative AI frameworks, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Compensation  

The base salary range for this position in the selected region is $200,000 to $ 281,000 annually. Compensation may vary inside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
