Position/Title : Manager, Field Visual Merchandising
Report To : Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising - Coach Korea
Location : Korea
Primary Purpose:
To support the Coach Brand and Coach Korea team to be responsible for strategizing, executing, delivering and supporting department responsibilities to include growth initiatives, both channel, seasonal Installations, In-season management / communications, events and pop-up project.
Key Responsibilities:
Visual Merchandise Execution:
- Partner with cross-functional business partners and VM team to assist store in planning, mapping and merchandising monthly floor sets
- Train and lead Store Management/In-Store VM assistant on how to interpret monthly guidelines and communicates consistent merchandising direction on Coach standard
- Follow-up with Store Manager/ In-Store VM to ensure all marketing and visual elements are placed appropriately on the sales floor (i.e. New VM roll out elements, Signage, decorative elements)
- Communicate and align with retail decisions to facilitate changes accordingly based on sales through our business needs
- Understanding store’s business conditions such as top sellers to make informed and educated merchandising decisions
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with short timelines for store opening, Season Pop-up, collaboration and marketing and sales team events.
- Responsible for supporting production execution, including coordination and follow-up on various minor tasks to ensure timely and accurate project delivery
Communication and Training
- Effectively manages travel schedule anticipating 75% traveling to stores ensuring execution at Coach standard
- Manage the flow of communication with the support of VM team between assigned stores, through touch bases during routine store visits
- Develop constructive, effective relationships with In-Store Visual, Store Managers and Retail Management team
- Support/train stores to interpret Visual Guidelines through photo review, floor plan mapping and/or store visits
- Provide feedback relating to product presentations, challenges and needs of the business via VM recap from the store and communicate comprehensively with Store Manager in-store VM / Retail Field Management to ensure productivity and alignment
- conduct in store training sessions regularly and leading hands-on merchandising training with Assistant Store Managers / Store Managers / In Store VM to ensure that the current merchandising direction is understood and maintained
- Leverage Global VM training tool to be downloaded well to all store members to be understood to keep a great and keep the VM standard level to the door.
- Stay up to date on business trends and shop competitions, share information with the VM team and HQ.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years’ Visual Merchandising experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- International / Korean company brand experience preferably in fashion sector 6 years.
- Ability to understand and interpret visual presentation direction and train
- Excellent visual and merchandising skills
- Strong responsible to build productive relationships with cross-functional members
- Strong ability to apply insights and generate multiple ideas and problem-solving and creative execution.
- Demonstrates adaptability and the ability to develop and propose diverse, innovative ideas.
- Ability to work independently and with a team, pursue task with energy, drive, growth mindset and perseverance
- Proactive in strategizing and strong communicator and working collaboratively
- Fluent spoken and written English skill not required- but preferred
- Ability to travel frequently and spontaneously to support the needs of the business
