The Managing Advisory Consultant - CMDB/ITOM - CSDM ServiceNow serves as a senior consulting professional who leverages deep technical and industry expertise to help customers solve complex business and technology challenges. This role collaborates with sales, delivery, and customer stakeholders to architect strategic solutions, provide advisory services, and drive measurable business value through consulting engagements.
What you will do
* Establish and guide the foundational ServiceNow data architecture across CMDB, ITOM, and CSDM capabilities.
* Design and advise on CMDB architecture, CI classes, CI relationships, Discovery, Service Mapping, and data model alignment.
* Assess customer environments to identify business impacts, platform risks, data quality concerns, and opportunities to improve reporting, automation, operations, and future ServiceNow capabilities.
* Provide advisory guidance on CSDM adoption and implementation to ensure the ServiceNow platform is structured to support ITSM, Asset Management, Operations, AI, Automation, Service Mapping, and future platform growth.
* Partner with customer stakeholders to align technical architecture decisions with business outcomes, platform maturity, and long-term scalability.
* Lead and participate in consulting engagements and develop assessments, workshops, strategies, roadmaps, and executive-level recommendations.
* Partner with sales teams to support discovery sessions, client meetings, scope development, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
* Provide expert-level consulting, architecture guidance, and solution risk mitigation within assigned disciplines.
* Maintain trusted advisor relationships with customer executives, management, and technical stakeholders.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to consulting team members.
* Contribute to development of consulting methodologies, reusable templates, offerings, and practice materials.
* Support project delivery quality, utilization targets, training activities, and industry certifications.
What we expect of you
* Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow consulting projects OR 11+ years of Information Technology experience supporting ServiceNow, including 3 years of experience delivering large enterprise projects.
* ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITOM certification required.
* Expertise in ServiceNow CSDM principles and best practices, with experience applying them in practical settings.
* Demonstrated expert-level consulting capabilities including workshops, business process analysis, strategic planning, risk management, and recommendations.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives, management, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements, coach team members, and resolve technical challenges.
* Demonstrated technical expertise across CMDB, ITOM, CSDM, Service Mapping, Discovery, CI relationships, architecture design with MSP and CSM a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to provide architecture consulting and conduct business impact assessments for complex ServiceNow platform environments.
* Relevant certifications in area of technical specialty is a plus.
* Consulting experience, project estimation and scoping experience, and pre-sales technical support experience is a plus.
