  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders across Marketing, Communications, Product, Compliance, and Legal
  • Develop internal resources (e.g., checklists, playbooks) to scale compliant marketing practices and reduce review cycles
  • Partner with privacy and security counsel to ensure appropriate use of customer data and analytics in marketing
  • Support the review of high-visibility brand campaigns and digital assets, ensuring accurate disclosures and legally sound messaging
  • Help design and administer unique marketing campaigns such as contests and sweepstakes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 years of experience, with significant time spent advising on advertising, marketing, or consumer protection matters
  • JD and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Prior in-house experience supporting a marketing team (insurance or regulated industry preferred)
  • Excellent judgment, business instincts, and a collaborative working style
  • Deep understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to marketing, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, UDAAP, and insurance-specific marketing regulations
  • Experience with review of social media, digital, and email campaigns is a plus

Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $150,000 – 200,000, on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
