About Us

Aptitude 8 helps companies Implement, Integrate, Optimize and Extend the HubSpot platform. As HubSpot has moved from a tool to a platform, businesses have found themselves needing a true consulting partner to help them build solutions on HubSpot. With the largest technical consulting team of any HubSpot partner, Aptitude 8 helps companies like Lenovo, Bluetooth, Uber Freight, SXSW, Formstack, and even HubSpot themselves deliver the buying experiences their customers demand.

Work with adults. Unlimited PTO, flexible work location, 401k contribution and insurance benefits, and a flat management structure designed for people who get shit done.

About The Role

We are seeking an individual looking to enhance their marketing career in a position that will allow behind-the-scenes access to a rapidly growing services business. This role is on our Demand Generation Team, helping market Aptitude 8 as the #1 technical consulting partner in the HubSpot ecosystem.

In this role, you will work directly with our Director of Demand Gen on tasks spanning copywriting, social media management, event coordination, advertising, and much more. You will have ample opportunity to learn new skills, collaborate across departments, and have a direct impact on the success of our revenue goals.

About You:

You consider yourself a motivated, curious, independent, and innovative person who is ready to dive head-first into any challenge. You’re not afraid to ask questions, willing to do some digging/be resourceful, and confident enough in your opinions to provide edits, feedback, and ideas.

You have some experience in B2B Marketing either in an agency, a junior role on an in-house marketing team, or hands-on experience in a family business or skills bootcamp to help you hit the ground running.

  • You enjoy writing and editing copy in various marketing and communications formats.
  • You’re familiar with LinkedIn and generally consider yourself social media savvy.
  • You’re an early adopter of AI and know how to leverage it to make yourself more efficient.
  • You are a self-starter and able to work towards a solution with minimal direction.
  • You adapt to change quickly and are undaunted by something you’ve never done before.
  • You love learning new things and excel at gaining expertise through research.
  • You’re eager to jump into the world of marketing automation, specifically the HubSpot platform. HubSpot certifications or other relevant experience are a huge plus.

A normal day in this role:

In this role, you will find that each day looks a little different. On a Monday, you might be working to boost engagement on LinkedIn, helping to coordinate a partnership marketing event, and fleshing out an outline for a tactical eBook.  On Tuesday, you might find yourself writing emails for a lead gen initiative, making updates to our website, and posting the funniest comment in our A8 team chat along with some fire gifs.

Key items of importance are that you are a skilled copywriter, detail-oriented, can manage your time effectively, and are very organized to keep track of multiple tasks and projects you’re working on. We are a fully remote team, so tech savviness is also key.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
