F5 is seeking an innovative and highly-skilled Marketing Forward-Deployed Engineer to join our Marketing Technologies team within our Digital organization. This unique role is designed for a tech-savvy marketer with a strong software development background who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and real-world marketing workflows . The ideal candidate will help transform our marketing workflows by infusing AI into pivotal processes such as content creation, campaign optimization, publishing, analytics, and more. 

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate closely with marketing teams across content creation, brand, vertical content, SEO, analytics, and publishing functions to identify opportunities for AI integration. 

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and intelligent agents tailored to marketing use cases. 

  • Enhance marketing workflows through automation and data-driven insights leveraging advanced AI tools and techniques. 

  • Partner with engineers, designers, and data scientists to accelerate adoption of AI technologies within the marketing organization. 

  • Build prototypes for customized AI solutions and test viability within marketing operations such as content and messaging generation, keyword optimization, predictive analytics, etc. 

  • Drive strategic discussions with marketing leadership about unlocking new possibilities using AI-driven marketing technologies. 

  • Stay current with emerging marketing technologies and software platforms, especially with regard to integrated AI tools and systems. Familiarity with Gemini Enterprise Platform and Antigravity is a plus. 

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct gap analyses, and deliver tech-focused solutions that empower marketers to achieve better efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Provide hands-on technical training and workshops to marketers, ensuring the team understands and embraces AI-based tools and practices. 

  • Evaluate new marketing technologies for potential integration into F5’s stack and contribute to the evolution of the marketing technology roadmap. 

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications: 

Marketing Expertise: 

  • Proven hands-on expertise in marketing workflows including content creation, campaign strategy, analytics, SEO, and publishing.  

  • In-depth understanding of the business and technical challenges faced by marketers. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Minimum of 7 years of software development experience, with a demonstrated ability to write, debug, and optimize complex code. 

  • Proficiency in developing AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, and workflows leveraging technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), automation frameworks, and big data platforms.  

  • Deep knowledge of marketing technology platforms such as CRM systems, campaign management tools, DMPs, analytics tools, content management systems (CMS), and SEO tools. 

  • Experience with API integrations, cloud platforms, and software architecture design. 

AI Proficiency: 

  • LLM Orchestration & Agent Architectures: Hands-on experience building  and deploying autonomous agentic workflows and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using modern orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, or similar)  

  • API & LLM Integration: Strong proficiency consuming, securing, and optimizing enterprise LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini Enterprise, or similiar). Experience in setting up guardrails. 

  • AI-Driven Marketing Use Cases: Practical understanding of applying generative AI for automated content generation, semantic SEO/GEO optimization, predictive campaign insights, and campaign workflow automation 

  •  

Soft Skills: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate marketing challenges into technical solutions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects from concept to completion. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Working knowledge of the Gemini Enterprise Platform. 

  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their application to marketing problems. 

  • Experience leveraging AI to optimize marketing workflows and their orchestration.  

Work Environment 

The Marketing Forward-Deployed Engineer will report to the Director of Marketing Technologies and work in close collaboration with cross-functional marketing teams. This is a hybrid role that requires leadership insights, marketing experience and hands-on technical development to bring innovative solutions to F5’s marketing workflows.

The annual base pay for this position is: $179,500.00 - $269,300.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
