Job Description

Trupanion is a leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs in North America. Our mission is to help loving, responsible pet owners budget and care for their pets. At Trupanion, we offer a collaborative, casual, and pet-friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves.

Trupanion is seeking an experienced Marketing Project Manager to oversee and drive marketing initiatives spanning multiple teams and channels. This role focuses on supporting our hospital, breeder, shelter, and partner brand channels, collaborating with team leads to evaluate new projects, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively. You will take ownership of end-to-end creative project delivery, ensuring that scope, timelines, milestones, and review processes are clearly defined and achieved. You will be responsible for keeping creative teams aligned and on schedule to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of execution.

The ideal candidate thrives in navigating ambiguity, brings expertise in managing creative teams, and possesses the ability to communicate effectively with both creative professionals and business stakeholders. This role is perfect for a self-starter who is passionate about building collaborative processes that deliver impactful outcomes.

As part of a new team within a fast-growing company, this role will help shape our creative process and operating model. A key part of this role is working with partner teams and company leaders to understand business needs and goals—you understand the ability of strong creative work to deliver measurable business impact. The right candidate thrives on leading through ambiguity and has experience specifically working with creative teams and business owners, knowing how to speak both languages.

This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate and Plan Projects: Analyze marketing projects, brand campaigns, and creative requests to determine size, complexity, scope, resourcing, and timelines.
  • Coordinate and Track Progress: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones, review cycles, and asset delivery timelines are clearly communicated and tracked.
  • Streamline and Optimize Workflows: Identify overlapping or similar projects to consolidate business needs, reduce redundancies, and optimize the delivery of assets.
  • Translate Campaign Ideas into Action: Work closely with the marketing team to turn campaign briefs and work requests into actionable plans with clear steps and deliverables.
  • Facilitate Effective Collaboration: Schedule creative reviews and project meetings, ensuring the right stakeholders are present, feedback is documented, and actionable next steps are identified.
  • Manage Timelines Across Teams: Oversee integrated project timelines, regularly communicating progress, key milestones, and deadlines to internal teams and relevant agency partners.
  • Proactively Solve Problems: Anticipate potential roadblocks during concept development, production, or delivery phases, escalating issues when needed and collaborating to find proactive solutions.
  • Partner with Production Teams: Work closely with production and agency teams to manage the end-to-end delivery process for creative assets across digital, print, and other platforms.

Experience you have:

  • Self-Motivated and Collaborative: A flexible, proactive individual with exceptional communication skills and a talent for building strong partnerships across teams.
  • Professional Experience: 3–4 years of marketing and creative project management experience, preferably within an advertising agency or a brand-side creative organization.
  • Comprehensive Media Expertise: Proven experience managing creative projects across a wide range of production and media channels, including digital, editorial, audio, social, print, out-of-home (OOH), and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Comfortable working with large, diverse stakeholder groups, with the ability to drive alignment and maintain momentum across all aspects of a creative project.
  • Adaptable and Resilient: Skilled at navigating change and shifting priorities, maintaining focus and effectiveness when responding to evolving business objectives or unforeseen challenges.
  • Process-Oriented Problem Solver: A natural organizer who thrives on finding efficiencies, streamlining workflows, and building or improving processes to simplify operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced in using project management tools such as Asana, Wrike, Workfront, or similar platforms to manage and track progress.

Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.

Additional Information

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits at no cost to the employee
  • Four weeks of paid time off and 9 paid float holidays (you can decide which days are most important to you!)
  • Five-week sabbatical after five years of employment
