Job Summary

The Marketing Strategy Lead, working under limited supervision, is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring engaging B2B, customer and consumer programs across various marketing channels. Partnering directly with the business, this role leverages agent, consumer and customer information to develop highly targeted marketing strategies, sales enablement resources and campaigns across digital and traditional marketing channels. The role works cross-functionally to translate business and sales objectives into actionable marketing strategies that strengthen agent relationships, support profitable growth and create differentiated value. Strong relationship building, influence and project management are critical to successfully moving work from strategy through execution. The role monitors and measures key performance indicators (KPI) and adapts to achieve optimal results. The role provides coaching and mentorship to less experienced professionals within the Marketing function.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develops B2B marketing and sales enablement strategies, content and resources that equip agency-facing teams and agents to effectively communicate value, identify opportunities and support customer conversations.
  • Develops and executes strategic marketing plans with business unit leaders to align sales plans, profitable growth and forecasts with meeting business unit goals.
  • Identifies new and/or improves existing marketing strategies, proactively evaluates marketing opportunities, interprets agent, customer and consumer needs and leverages best-in-class market research and analytics/customer analytics.
  • Assesses marketing opportunities and develops, implements and measures appropriate programs to advance marketing strategy. Utilizes all traditional and innovative marketing channels, including digital, mobile and social media.
  • Helps turn strategy into a sales plan for various business units and defines the market position of the business unit in relation to strategic objectives, value proposition, differentiators, agent and customer engagement experience, etc.
  • Works in alignment with business unit product management, channel strategy and portfolio assurance responsibilities to determine capability requirements and opportunities for the marketing plan.
  • Defines and monitors success and control measures, monitors business unit functionality and makes deliverable management and control conclusions.
  • Uses customer and end-user insights, market and competitor analysis to identify target market and business unit opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Conducts fact-based market analysis to systematically evaluate, prioritize and recommend marketing opportunities to grow business in line with corporate and business unit objectives.
  • Develops and maintains a segment value proposition based on a comprehensive understanding of consumer and market dynamics.
  • Collaborates effectively with business unit teams and corporate functions to set and align segment marketing/value proposition vision, strategy and roadmap with corporate strategy with the focus on target markets, customer propositions and experiences, marketing strategy and innovation.
  • Employs an agile mindset and acts as a change leader integral to developing the organization's understanding of segment strategy, engaging and educating stakeholders on the overall strategy and related benefits.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field and/or commensurate work experience.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Marketing Management Professional (CMMP)

Location

Hybrid- defined as working three or more days per week in the office if the employee's residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH; OR Remote-if the employee resides more than 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH.
