Primary Responsibilities:
- Works on simple tasks using established procedures and protocols
- Basic tasks completed without review by others
- Supervision/guidance required for higher level tasks
- Monitor and manage assigned pool/work queues ensuring timely completion of necessary clinical support needs (e.g., medication refill requests)
- Create and communicate TE's/Messages across teams (e.g., central scheduling, clinical staff, providers) as necessary
- Translate communicated information into concise and accurate written documentation. Use approved "dotphrases" in accordance with job function/role. Document and send communications/messages in EHR/MyChart
- Send and receive tasks to provider office to assist patient with access to medical care
- Answers incoming calls from patients or healthcare related entities (number based on metrics) either directly or through warm transfer, resolving moderate to complex issues in a timely manner
- Assist with patient care related tasks related to medication refills, relaying diagnostic results, "in-basket" management, "trigger word" screening by utilizing approved protocols and processes
- Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate Optum's commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with every internal and external customer
- Exhibit multitasking skills, utilizing double monitors for data entry, phone etiquette, and use of resources while maintaining proper guidelines
- Attends required trainings/meeting (ex. Huddles) to stay current on policies and growth

Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program
- 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Call Center experience
- Experience with Epic EMR/EHR System
- Bilingual - Spanish
