About the Role

The L Suite serves General Counsels and senior legal executives across high-growth private tech companies, public companies, venture funds, and beyond. We focus on selling both to individual legal executives, and also to full legal teams. Selling into this audience requires more than a polished pitch. It demands genuine fluency in the world of legal leadership: understanding what these executives are responsible for, the challenges they face, why a trusted peer community is an invaluable resource, and how The L Suite uniquely supports their goals. You will develop and maintain that fluency, tailoring your approach to each of our member personas and staying attuned to the latest trends shaping the legal function.

This is a full-cycle role. You will own everything from the first conversation through closing (and handoff to our member success team), managing your pipeline with rigor and using data to continually sharpen your focus. You will also be expected to work in an AI-forward way, leveraging enterprise AI tools as a core part of how you prospect, prepare, communicate, and report.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new membership growth for The L Suite through direct outreach, including individual and group calls that communicate the value proposition and convert leads into members

  • Develop and execute strategies and multi-channel campaigns to educate and attract General Counsels, Chief Legal Officers, Heads of Legal, and other senior in-house legal leaders, spanning startups to public companies and investment funds

  • Maintain deep understanding of the legal executive ecosystem, leveraging industry trends and persona insights to refine messaging and uncover growth opportunities

  • Track and report on conversion performance, using data-driven insights to continuously refine tactics and optimize time and resource allocation

  • Ensure a high-quality prospect experience by delivering timely, personalized communication at every stage of the buying journey

  • Manage forecasts and pipelines with strong discipline, ensuring CRM data is accurate and operations are efficient

  • Collaborate closely with Growth, Marketing, and Member Experience teams to align strategies and deliver a cohesive member journey

  • Share successful tactics and insights with colleagues, contributing to collaborative growth across The L Suite community

Qualifications
  • Proven experience selling to or working directly with General Counsels, Chief Legal Officers, or other C-suite legal executives, with an insider’s perspective on their priorities and buying behavior

  • Proven experience selling into legal departments

  • Demonstrated success in consultative, relationship-driven sales roles; experience selling memberships, communities, subscriptions, or professional services preferred

  • Self-directed operator who independently manages a blend of routine and high-complexity work and proactively aligns with management on strategy and messaging

  • Strong discipline in pipeline and forecast management, with proficiency in CRM tools and using conversion data to guide actions

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with senior executives, translating the value of community into terms that resonate with each unique persona

  • Collaborator skilled at cross-functional teamwork, idea-sharing, and consensus-building

  • Advanced user of enterprise AI tools, digital agents, and automated workflows, with eagerness to integrate AI into daily work

  • Driven to become the subject matter expert on L Suite member growth and engagement at The Suite

  • Experience consistently meeting or exceeding quotas in a high-volume sales environment

About The Suite

We are a team of ~80 of the world’s greatest community builders and technologists.
We build high-quality and highly-curated professional communities. We run two of these communities today, including our flagship The L Suite / TechGC, which is a private, invite-only community for General Counsels / Chief Legal Officers and their teams at high-growth tech companies and venture funds, and The F Suite, which is a private, invite-only community for Chief Financial Officers and their teams.
We currently have 5,000+ active members across our communities, representing C-Suite executives and their deputies from most of today’s leading tech companies (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Airbnb, Slack, Coinbase, Uber, Notion, Bolt, Figma, Airtable, Dropbox, Bilt, Datadog, etc.) and venture funds (e.g., a16z, Softbank, Tiger, Accel, Thrive, Battery Ventures, FirstMark, Kleiner Perkins, Insight, etc.).
Each of our communities is unique, but they are all underpinned by our custom-built member platform - the Braintrust. The Braintrust has rapidly emerged as the next evolution of the professional community platform, powering real-time conversations with the right peers at the right time as well as personalized research, insights, and strategies. The Braintrust is one of the strategic pillars supporting our mission to help today’s business leaders excel in their jobs with better and faster answers to their most pressing challenges.
We are a well-funded, profitable, and rapidly scaling startup with a high-impact team.

What Makes Us Unique

We fill a painful hole in the market at an unprecedented time in history. As executives are being pressured to master AI and “do more with less” while at the same time navigating an increasingly complex business environment, the right information and perspective has become harder and harder to find. The dominant networking platforms of the day are too broad and diluted to be effective resources, and it has become difficult to parse through the noise and misinformation to hone in on what really matters. Executives are rapidly retreating back to private, trusted communities for their information, support, and their most interesting conversations.
That’s where we come in. We connect executives to their most valuable resource - their peers - through a highly-curated collection of professional communities. In addition to attending live events, our members get access to the Braintrust, which is a comprehensive research and curated networking platform enhanced by Lloyd (our community-powered AI agent). After logging in, members are immediately connected with their closest peers, and are able to leverage their knowledge and experience for advice, service provider recommendations, benchmarking data, peer coaching/mentorship, and much more. The Braintrust also features a resource library with hundreds of educational videos, templates, and other materials from our community events.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
